Every good game has its rules, and this one is no exception. With that said, here we go:
OoC Rules:
Rule 1: Be kind to the other members. We're not here to become mortal enemies outside of the game! Basically: Don't be a dick.
Rule 2: Your profile's name should match your character's name.
Rule 3: If you have any questions regarding the game, shoot the admins a PM on the forum, or get on Skype. Skype is recommended, as that will most of the time give a faster response.
Rule 4: You should have an avatar and a hover picture for your character's appearance. (If possible, please use faceclaims, preferably ones from Japanese anime, manga or games.) Hover picture dimensions are 200x450 pixels, and avatars have 150x150 pixels dimensions.
Rule 5: If, by any chance you're getting inactive, please PM Admin MG2123 a reason why. All of us understand Life making us busy! Otherwise, one or two posts a week should be fine.
Rule 6: In case no reason is given for your disappearance, the likelihood of your character embracing Death's cold hands is doubled or tripled! (Unless the murder app says something else.)
Rule 7: The minimum wordcount is 200. Please do try to post around that many words. There is no upper limit, though.
IC Rules:
Rule 8: You have (most likely) decided to join a RP about a majority of the cast biting the dust. If you are the victim, killer, traitor or mastermind, please do not spoil the surprise!
Rule 9: Death comes in many ways, such as:
- his lovely assistant Hina Yakugami, the SHSL Misfortune, spins the Roulette Wheel of Misfortune, deciding who kills whom. (Death by RNG)
- he gets an anonymous letter, telling him who to kill. (Death via murder app)
- whatever I think brings more despair!
Rule 10: A Posting Order will be established for each chapter opening! This is to prevent a person posting too much in too short of a timespan. There will be no posting order in special Group FTEs, but please don't post until a few posts are between your last one and your new one.
There's a special rule applying to the Posting Order threads: If the next one in the list has not posted for 24 hours, then they may be skipped.
To visualize: A>B>C>D>E>...>P is the first Posting Round. If D doesn't post for 24 hours when it's their turn again, then the second Posting Round might look like this instead: A>B>C>E>D>...>P.
Rule 11: Trial format will most likely be on Skype, but this is yet to be determined.
Rule 12: Godmodding is forbidden. Basically, your character's action can't directly affect another character in the same post. (For example: Kazuichi pushes Nagito in front of an incoming truck, who gets sent flying to the stratosphere by it.) It is recommended to say that your character attempts to do that action, which allows your partner to respond to it.
But on the other hand, your character can't always avoid everything someone throws at them. Sometimes, an attack should connect. Just be a good sport about it.
Rule 13: Although not a rule per se, it is recommended to bold important statements or questions. Maybe Monokuma might perk up an ear and give you a quality response to whatever you have bolded.
The big one, the golden rule: Rule 999: Have fun! After all, that's what we're here for! A game that's not fun is a bad game. And we don't want that, do we?
Rule 11037: The secret password to prove that you read the rules is "Filled with Determination"
