(Notice: This is a Group FTE. They don't count against your slots, and they don't give you any skills, but they progress the story. They are not mandatory, and you are free to skip them if you want.) Once the brothers disappeared from the bridge, the door to another room opened. When you enter it, you something unlike you've seen before in the factory: A shiny silver texture on the walls, a neat and organized desk with a black-haired man sitting behind it, a few potted plants and a nice expensive-looking red carpet. But as you get closer, you notice that something's off: The man behind the desk isn't moving, like, at all. And off to the side, there is an unmoving girl with brown hair with a ponytail hairstyle. She looks oddly similar to Yoko. Were they related? In any case, the left side of her body is a deep purple, she bled out of her left eye and ugly veins were all over the left side. These two people, whose names you (probably) don't know, are dead.If you were to get closer to the girl, you would see something like a black bracelet with a small scrolling screen. After tapping the screen, you see the following: "Forbidden Action: Sharing the same talent as another participant in this building."The man has a knife stuck in his gut, but there were no signs of a struggle. What happened to him? Can you even solve this mystery? The bears show no sign of being there, aside from the surveillance cameras everywhere. What is wrong with this place?

As the bear brothers disappeared, Yoko relaxed a bit. As good at keeping her cool in situations like this as she was, she wasn't the best at it, and a moment's reprieve from trying to take this less seriously than others probably thought she should was welcomed. The most important thing was to not go by the flow of whoever had captured them, which would be difficult given the Kill or Be Killed motive they were given, but keeping hope meant staying strong in the face of such odds.
Then the door opened. From a glance it's different appearance peaked the girl's curiosity. Making her way over to the door pretty quickly she took a look inside, not paying much attention to the details of the man at the desk for now, before spotting someone she knew all too well.
Dead.
Yoko took a step back in disbelieve. All pretense of Composure she thought she had drained from her as the color drained from her face and her eyes grew wide. "No..." She said. "No! No! No! No! No! No!"
The chatty girl had no other words for this moment, no jokes to lighten her mood, no fourth wall to break as the reality in front of her. She ran over to the other girl and grabbed onto her shoulder's. "No! Please! Wake up!" But it was pointless. That was obvious, and any further attempts to hope otherwise were worthless. She could tell that as her tears fell down her face.
Yoko fell to her knees and looked at the ground, unresponsive in shock. Half of the Super High School Level Jack of All Trades was dead.

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Now that those bears were gone, Mei figured it was time to get some of her questions answered. That one girl, Yoko Kamiya, the Jack of All Trades was one of those people and Mei had seen her leave. Wandering over to where the girl had gone, Mei noticed the door. It wasn't a remarkable door, much like the person who had just gone inside. Mei pulled open the door, seeing as it had shut behind Yoko and gazed inside. The first thing she noticed was Yoko herself, kneeling on the ground. Unable to get a word out due to her social anxiety, Mei instead decided to look at the surroundings.
The bodies... The bodies... The bodies... "What is... this..?" Mei instinctively drew her wakizashi and pointed it at the kneeling girl before noticing her tears and lowering the blade, "It wasn't you. You didn't do this. Yoko, what happened?" Her anxiety fading as she held her blade, Mei moved to look at the bodies. One was stabbed. Nothing special there. Mei gripped the knife in his gut and pulled it out to examine it.
The other body was half purple. It was unlike anything the Kenjutsu Master had seen before. She was obviously dead and looked pretty similar to Yoko, so then what did that mean? Mei forced herself to look away from the grisly sight and back at Yoko.

Da Ji was still trying to process everything that was going, first a killing game then her sister was kidnapped and now if no one kill everyone would go to a Toxic Waste Pool Party that was too much, whne the bears left she only felt even more fear... “Asu...” She thought about her sister, she didn't saw her sister since her parents died, they only talked by text, after a while she noticed that a door leading to another room had opened she then entered it.
Mei and Yoko where already there but Yoko was crying and Mei just stared at it, just then she noticed a Man and a Girl dead there, Half of the girl body was looking like it is deteriorated and the man was stabbed “Oh my god” She walked near finally noticing that the dead girl have a Bracelet and then decide to tap it, it displays something called Forbidden Action... “Forbidden Action...? Sharing the same talent as another participant in this building”
That was strange, that girl wasn't with then on the other room why was she there... but that's not what she was preoccupied right now, she was worried about Yoko “They must be sisters or something related...” She then walks near Yoko “Do you want a... hug? I know this won't help much but... it does help a little” Smile offering a hug, she knows this pain of loss and would like to help someone through it, something she didn't do to her Sister...

"And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty." Al-Hijr 15:99
Oppenheimer, still shaken from the discovery of the motive and the death of Jeanne, walked into the room where Yoko was.
"Oh." he said, without really looking at her.
"Did you know that girl?"
He walked over to the desk where a man with a knife sticking out of his chest laid. He turned around to face Yoko.
"I am so sorry. I am terribly sorry."
He sat on the desk.
"I'm so sorry I killed her."
He sulked his head down.
"I poisoned her. I ended her life in an instant. I did it because I was selfish. Allah will punish me for this. I am so sorry I killed her. I do not deserve your forgiveness."
He looked at the pattern on the floor. He just witnessed his own death not moments ago.
"I brought you here too. I brought everyone here so they can all participate in this messed up game. I did it. I am the mastermind behind it all. I am the one at fault."
He fell to his knees as he slowly curled up into a prayer, begging Allah for His forgiveness on such an atrocity. He deserves to be punished.

shirong slowly entered the factory chief's office after the bears disappeared. he couldn't believe what he saw when the vr helmet dropped on him.
okay, that was a lie. he could believe that. in fact, he fully expected to die protecting someone in this place, but strangely, he saw only his own dead body. maybe the person he saved got away safely at the end? he hoped so, at least.
but then a familiar stench entered his nose: failure. he has only been a worker for an hour at best, but after entering the gaudy office, he saw yoko crying, mei holding a knife and oppenheimer apologizing and da ji was there, too, offering a hug.
nevertheless, there were two dead people: an adult man and a girl whose lifeless appearance shared similarities with those bear-shaped copyright infringements. he inspected the girl's body first.
she was wearing some sort of bracelet, and after inspecting it, it said something about a forbidden action.
"hmm..." shirong wasn't sure what to think. "strange. the bears didn't explain this. not that they needed to, anyway. forbidden actions sound self-explanatory to me."
when oppenheimer said that he was the mastermind, shirong shook his head dismissively. "if you truly are the mastermind, give us the keys to the exit. that way no one else has to be killed." he said. "but i doubt you could pull a stunt like this."
he then walked over to mei, who had pulled out the knife that was in the man. the guardian silently blamed himself for these deaths. "why did this have to happen?", he asked himself.
there was no indication of what the man's name was or anything. no nametag, nothing. it was clear to shirong, however, that this must have been the true factory chief, before this position was usurped.
without saying anything to the kenjutsu master, he distanced himself from her. he only wanted a good look at the knife, anyway.

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Katsu was looking for the rooms after having left the bridge. But he hadn't found them yet. He just wanted to be alone. He shuffled into a room and noticed that he wasn't alone. There were others here. First he spotted Abraham, hearing his statements before looking towards Yoko and Da Ji. He was confused for a moment before he looked towards Mei who had sheathed her weapon and the bodies that were on the ground. One of them looked just like -- He looked from Yoko to the girl's body and then back again. Oh no. Whoever this was, it was probably someone the Jack cared about, probably a family member.
If this had been Kira… Katsu wasn't sure what he would've done. He probably would've walked from the room and found a place to cry in secret, but since it wasn't he couldn't be sure. While he and his sister weren't close now, they had been close at one point and he still loved and care about her deeply. He'd feel regret over things he had said, ways he made her feel, because all he wanted was to protect her from him and what was happening to him. He was a destructive force, and all those around him were always taken down no matter how hard he tried. There was just one person he had to save, and after this… it would be up to her if she wanted to be brought down with him too. That person he cared too much about to just let her go. Not that he didn't care about his sister. He did, but she had the added benefit of possibly being disowned and hated by their parents too if she stuck around him too much. And he could never let that happen to her.
Katsu sat down and looked at the body of Yoko's relative. "Oppenheimer. It does no one help to lie. We needn't someone to take the blame just to take the blame." After all, he didn't believe what Abraham was saying was correct. He was sure the he was lying. And Katsu wasn't good at reading people. Perhaps he was wrong, but he got this gut feeling from the statements that Abraham just wanted them to have someone to blame, someone to hate. "You saying that prevents us from finding the true culprit and bringing true justice to whoever did this." After all, he had seen a lot of memos and reports and he had learned to figure out what people meant in some, but he was still terrible at it. Arien was so much better at everything in this regard than he ever was, but he had learned just a bit to learn how to read between the lines. Of course it was easier when you could stare at the letters, the words, the syntax instead of just hearing once and it being gone. He could be wrong, but if he wasn't, it was far more important to say these things than the damage he would do if Oppenheimer was telling the truth and he said it. Words: 519 | Tag: open

The today I chose is ordinary,
and it's about to crumble. Akimi peered into the new room from afar, standing a good distance away as a crowd slowly grew within the confines of those four walls. But from where she currently stood, she was unable to catch a proper glimpse of what exactly was inside. And so, the ponytailed girl approached a little closer, now at a distance where she could comfortably eavesdrop on the conversation that snaked its way out of the room. She stood facing the entrance, not with her back against the wall. Almost like a specter watching from the sidelines. "No! Please! Wake up!""What is... this..?"“Do you want a... hug?"
"I'm so sorry I killed her." Other than discernible voices, through the holes that existed between the mass of her classmates, she was also able to make out what had laid in wait. Corpses. As soon as her mind registered what exactly it was that she saw, Akimi closed her eyes. The sprawled limbs, the blood. The knife to the chest. That dead, lifeless expression.
She willed herself to feel nothing.
After all, whatever happened to those two poor souls were none of her business. All that's within her power right now were prayers for them to rest in peace. And so, that's what she did. She prayed for them silently in her heart. For all of them, and for her own self too.
Finally, after that, she turned and walked away. Like a leaf in the wind. A petal in a stream.

Yoko sat there, unresponsive, but she could clearly hear what was going on around her. The first bit of information she actually cared about was what had killed her. Sharing the same Talent as someone else. If her heart hadn't sunk to it's lowest already it was falling there now. Whoever did this... MADE it so that one of them would have to die. They couldn't both live while the other did. She had been broken from the start of this mess.
But what someone else said was unexpected. The words she wanted to hear right now but didn't think that anyone would say: That they were behind it.
Yoko's mind, broken from being made incomplete, snapped even further as a rage and killing intent that she didn't even know she had in her bubbled to the surface. In a instant she dashed off past the people gathering around her towards Abraham Oppenheimer, swinging her arms wide before bringing them in and pressing one of them against his neck and using the other one to keep him from using that arm. "DIE." In this moment, Yoko did not care if what he said was the truth, as others had merely told him to stop joking.
Yoko wanted to kill the one who said he killed her sister.

Slowly, Oppenheimer felt his breath leave him in an instant. She didn't want to kill him quickly. She wanted him to suffer, to feel the life draining from his face.
He deserved it, after all.
It was him who lost consciousness when he entered the school.
It was him who was not vigilant enough to see something suspicious.
By not seeing the kidnappers coming, it was him who kidnapped the students and threw him into the game.
Because the game started, it was him who killed Yoko's sister and the poor man.
He failed these people. Especially the one woman. If he tried harder to wake her up, she would still be alive.
Allah has asked of Oppenheimer to save people and treat your fellow man with the up-most respect and kindness.
He failed in all regards.
He...
"I......sor....serve this..."
Oppenheimer tried his last plea to ask for forgiveness from Yoko.
His eyes became bloodshot as he slowly lost consciousness.
"Ahuva......."
He slumped where he stood into Yoko's arms.
ABRAHAM OPPENHEIMER ASPHYXIATED TO DEATH AT THE HANDS OF YOKO KAMIYA.

Hello. We will meet again.
Goodbye. We will part again.
Hello. In another place,
you will leave without waiting for our farewell.
She Heard everything Abraham said with horror, i mean it couldn't be him, what kind of person would set everything up and then confess when it starts? "Abraham right? why would you start this 'game' we are in and then confess it right after it started? this is surely strange..." after hearing everything Katsu said she began agreeding with him and looked one more time at Yoko before realisin Mei had taken the knife... She then started getting nervous... did she plan to kill someone with that Knife? this isn't looking too good... "What do you plan doing with that knife...?" She said worried with it, then she noticed that Akimi left but when she turned around she saw... Yoko was strangling Abraham to death! "He-hey stop that!" She tried to help but there's nothing she could do, Yoko was being controlled by her Rage and then Da Ji ended up falling on the ground and only looked at the scene with horror, after a while she noticed Abraham wasn't moving at all... "Wha-wha-wha... it can't be..." She ran next to him to check if he was still alive... he wasn't breathing anymore "A-a-ahhhhhhh!" This can't be happening... she let him die in front of she and couldn't do nothing... "What did i do?!"

... it all happened too fast for shirong. he figured that he was somewhat fast, but barely a minute went by before yoko went feral on the instrumental artist.
"hold it!", he yelled at the jack of all trades after oppenheimer lost consciousness. "what do you think you're doing?" he turned around to see if someone else could help him. "does anyone know cpr, or know how to revive people? enough people lost their lives already!"
he then walked behind yoko and attempted to drag her off from oppenheimer, his hands attempting to grab her at the waist area. he triple checked that he did not grab her chest by accident. that would look really perverted, and shirong didn't want that. he was the shsl guardian, not the shsl pervert.
"let go of him!", he said to yoko. "that person won't come back if you kill him! eye for an eye, and the world goes blind!"
he tried his hardest to get yoko away from the young man she already strangled to death. he saw plenty of people like yoko now was. her rage basically gave her enormous strength, and the guardian knew that he would need assistance to get her off him.
"can anyone help me? i need help, here!"
he just hoped that what he did was enough.

Everyone wants a magical solution for their problem, yet everyone refuses to believe in magic. Taro was walking in the factory, examining and inspecting every corner of factory. It was an enigma, this whole event. He was trying so hard to find a clue, but it was pretty much useless. He felt useless. Taro planned to play with all these losers. These losers were all trying to play it cool, they were oppressing their feelings, they were hiding they were all freaking out. Taro was laughing at them. They were all fools. They were going to die anyways. Everybody thinks they're going to live. No. Taro already knew he was going to die. However, he was planning to die in the most glorious way he could. He was working on it. He needed to get out of this building, or take everyone with himself. However, it was enough planning for now. Taro didn't want his head get all busy from the start. However, Taro heard some screaming yelling and drama smell coming from the chief's office. It was time he got there. Taro quickly rushed to the chief's office and started to talk loudly.
''WHAT'S UP LOSERS!? I'M HERE WHAT'S UP WITH ALL THE YELLING!?''
Next thing he saw was a lot of corpses. LOT. Taro quickly dropped his attitude and the next thing he did was letting his jaw drop to the floor. The hilt fetish woman was holding a knife. The ordinary school girl had killed Osama bin Laden guy. Others were looking at them terrified. The chinese hunk rushed to osama's help, but it seemed to late. He guarded him and fended the school girl off his corpse. There were two other corpses, one male and other girl who seemed exactly like the school girl. Taro slowly started to clap hands.
''Wow, I mean, BRAVO! I expected a death but... THREE deaths!? And two of them we didn't even know?! That's some good poopshit right there ma'am, congratulations. I bow before you. Wow, what a SHSL Guardian right there. I mean seriously, who chose you. After all, you guys ARE losers, aren't you? However, at least it's good to see things have took an interesting turn. Come on! Don't keep me waiting. I want to see what happens next!''
Taro started to hysterically laugh, and as he opened his cape a swarm of pidgeons started to fly around the room. His mischevious laugh was echoing in the factory. Words: 396 | Tag: | Notes: -

Joo-Eun Cruz - SHSL Poet
"Fiction is the truth inside the lie." - Stephen King
|
Joo-Eun had let out an inaudible sigh as she decides to leave the bridge, she opted to stay behind after the bears left as the other people decided to look around the factory. She searched the place carefully and thoroughly and was quite happy with the progress that she has made. The Poet isn’t a very perceptive person and so it takes her quite some time to fully understand what a place truly has to offer, regardless of this though, she still managed to search the whole bridge and was confident that she learned all that she can.
She cannot help but hum a silent lullaby as she walks out of the door, she rarely feels as accomplished as she does now. Her calming and almost cheerful melody echoed in the empty hall, the notes bouncing against the rusty walls making her lullaby seem livelier than it actually was.
At this moment, amidst all the despair, the loneliness, and the feeling of suffocation, Joo-Eun for the first time in a long while felt a tiny bit of hope. Sure, they were trapped in a foreign place forced to kill each other. Sure, she was stuck in this rusty place with people she doesn’t know, but Joo-Eun Cruz had finally accomplished investigating the bridge and that was all that mattered right now. She was unnaturally happy for a time like this.
Besides, it’s not like anyone would actually kill this early, and for such a silly motive too, right?
It was shortly after she had finished her little lullaby that she came face to face with a rusty door, she heard a commotion inside and wondered what it was all about. Maybe it’s the factory’s lounge? She thought.
She has clamed herself down and had put her stoic expression on as she opens the door in front of her, hoping not to gain as much attention as possible.
Nothing could have prepared Joo-Eun for the scene that unfolded in front of her as she opened the door, inside the room was an office filled with students. There was not one, not two, but three still bodies inside. Even without having the highest perception in the world, she knew what was going on. As if her legs had a mind of its own, they started to move towards the one body that most of the students had their attention to. She pushed the students away trying to squeeze in to get to the middle and the sight that awaited her was no other than the SHSL Instrumental Artist, Oppenheimer, down on the ground, still and almost lifeless.
Joo-Eun hoped that it was just a case of narcolepsy, maybe an after-effect of the previous unconsciousness that they all went through before this whole thing began, or shock from the video that the brothers had made them watch, anything but death. She had pressed the tips of her middle and index finger to the Musician’s neck and checked for a pulse, she felt none. Unable to accept a death happening so soon, she then began to grab his wrist and pressed her thumb against it, waiting for a pulse but none came.
She took a deep breath, calmed herself, and looked at the red-eyed girl dressed all in black with her cold blue eyes. The Poet pointed her finger at the girl, “You, tell me what actually took place here.” She then slowly looked at the people around her and said in a louder voice, “Do any of you know a first aid at all to help him? Don’t just stand there like some goddamn idiots, dios mio, will you all just stand and watch this man die?” The Poet shook her head at the people, do they have no common sense at all?
Deep in her mind though, she knew, that this was a reminder that it was foolish of her to hold on to hope earlier today.
Right at this moment, the SHSL Poet Joo-Eun Cruz swore to herself that she will begin to take the situation seriously, this is no work of fiction at all. This is indeed, a real and tragic event.

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Katsu watched as the scene played out. It was Abraham's fault, after all. At first Katsu just let things happen, but he could tell that Yoko was starting to squeeze the life out of Abraham. Finally. Finally Yoko was acting like a human, and yet it was triggered by the fact it was her sister (or he assumed it was her sister) was there dead. It was something that frustrated Katsu. She pretended like it wasn't a big deal until it affects her personally. He felt the loss of everyone greatly, and while he would feel it more if someone he liked died, he still felt it and treated everyone with the respect they deserved. Jeanne had already died. Now Yoko's sister. Perhaps now she would realize the pain others when through when someone died. He might not have the same emotional reactions to every death, and he shouldn't, but that didn't mean he just disregarded the situation as something not as bad.
However, when Abraham was on the ground, obviously pretty much dead, no breathing, and Shirong pulled Yoko off asking for someone to help, Katsu looked around to see if anyone was there who could help. But apparently instead Taro was celebrating over three bodies or something like that. Katsu sighed. He supposed he was the only one who could save the poor soul. After all, at this point he wasn't completely unsalvageable. He could still live, if someone performed CPR. Even with his heart stopped and everyone giving up on him, Katsu stood from his spot and sighed.
"Let me," Katsu grumbled kneeling down next to Abraham. He didn't like knowing that something his parents taught him would come in handy later. At least they could be happy in the knowledge that it wasn't completely wasted on him, even if he hadn't really used this technique before. Cracking his fingers with a resounding popping sound, Katsu leaned down, pressing his mouth against Oppenheimer's, and breathing into his mouth. He leaned back up, and began chest compressions. The important thing was to get his heart going first, the get him breathing, as Katsu could always supply him with air while he worried about the heart. He leaned back down, supplying air to Abraham's body, then back up pressing near his heart to try to give the organ a jump start.
Katsu wasn't one to just stand around while someone died. If he could help them he would, but he wished he didn't have to. It was a lot of unnecessary work if someone else could do it. But apparently they couldn't or they weren't willing. Katsu wouldn't give up on this guy until there was no chance of reviving him. His focus was entirely on Oppenheimer, for once his mind wasn't all over the place thinking of various problems and solving all of them at once. These people were too ignorant and didn't believe there was any other way to revive him, but Katsu knew better.
