MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Rather frustrated with her predicament, Mei Meiyo first stopped by the Women's Quarters. More specifically, to her bed. She needed to limit herself with her new 'Kill Command' and with her natural instincts... She wouldn't be in good shape. Grasping the belt holding her sheathed wakizashi, Mei removed it from herself, careful not to touch the sword itself. Then she did attempted to do the same with her katana strap, although the sword now attached to her hand made it a bit difficult. For a moment she considered cutting it off before finally managing to slip it off her shoulder. She placed both objects on her bed, still careful not to touch the blades themselves, before closing her eyes in a solemn silence, Don't worry. As soon as I can, I'll be back... Takeo.
With a considerably lighter personage, Mei turned. The knife was still in her pocket, but there wasn't much she could do about that. Perhaps she could get someone else to take it off of her, although, safely tucked inside her jacket was a place she probably wouldn't touch. The Kenjutsu Master left the Women's Quarters and, unsure what to do at this point, headed to the Worker's Lounge. Maybe someone would be there. Someone she could confide in... Or not. The Lounge was empty save for the dancing Monokuma Bros on the TV. If it wasn't against the rules, the sword in her hand would be going through that thing because, at this point, she was fed up with those annoying bears.
But then... Could she really blame them? After all, most of the situations she had found herself in were her fault... right? She cut off Oppenheimer's hand when it would sufficed to just nick his leg or something. And she was the one who had come into that accursed room with the sword already in her hand. Well, the swordswoman could debate with herself all day, but the bottom line was this was where she was and there was no changing that. Perhaps, though, she could, at the very least, apologize. Apologize to him. But first... She'd have to find him.

Ahuva.
It has been weeks since he last saw her.
They kissed one last time at the airport before he went off to be trapped in this game. A game where he was made an amputee. A game where eight deaths had taken place and he was amongst those numbers. Yoko killed him. He lost his composure and admitted to killing her sister.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry for putting you through that. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for the way I acted just minutes after you found her.
Alas, he couldn't tell those things to Yoko. He couldn't apologize. He couldn't express his condolences properly to Yoko.
All of a sudden, he heard the door open. As he was lying down on the couch, it took a few moments before he realized that it was Mei who walked through.
He sat up on the couch and immediately said what he could with his forbidden action.
"I don't blame you. I tried to defend myself by putting my wrist in the way of your cutting blade. It was only natural that it came off. Let's just have bygones be bygones."
He inched further to the right side of the couch in case Mei wished to sit down on the couch.
"I want you to know that it's water under the bridge. So, I'll do you a favor. Anything you need. If I perform this favor, then you will see that I have no qualms against you. And then, if I may, we can chat. Talk about our lives. Talk about how we are handling. I don't really care to be honest. I just want us to be friends. What do you say?"

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Mei blinked as she noticed Abraham Oppenheimer. How did she miss him before? The very person she wanted to find, and he had been there the whole time. And he spoke too. He spoke calmly and articulately.
"I don't blame you. I tried to defend myself by putting my wrist in the way of your cutting blade. It was only natural that it came off. Let's just have bygones be bygones."
Mei tilted her head a bit, "What is this 'bygone'...? I am not familiar with the term." She stood in silence for a bit. Oppenheimer seemed to be saying that it wasn't her fault, correct? But that was clearly just wishful thinking. When Oppenheimer scooted over, Mei was inclined to sit at first, but then she heard his next choice of words.
"Hold. Your 'Kill Command' is to apologize. Don't push it. I don't need you dead. But... there is something I need done for me." Mei looked off to the side for a bit before removing her outer jacket and, with her free hand, presented it to Oppenheimer, "Look at that. Here we both are with one useless arm each. Now, there is a knife in the pocket inside. Would you take it out for me and place it on the ground?"
After saying that, she glanced the the sword attached to her hand. Was it making Oppenheimer nervous at all? Even so, there wasn't much she could do about it except hope that this would all be over soon. She knew it was difficult for Oppenheimer to have to be so selfish, and she knew that it would only become more difficult for her too. How would she cook? Or eat? A katana wasn't exactly suited for cutting fish.
Mei then took Oppenheimer up on his silent offer and sat down, resting her sword hand on the couch. It would get heavy after a while too, she knew. Especially it being a steel sword. Oh well. What was a Kenjutsu Master who couldn't hold a sword?

"Oh, I'm..."
Oppenheimer was quick to catch himself and a fear of terror slowly flushed his face.
"I'm not sorry you didn't understand what a bygone is. Bygones be bygones just means the past is the past. There's no real reason to get all up in arms about it."
He waited for Mei to sit down. He look at the knife in her pocket.
"Stay perfectly still. I don't want to accidentally cut you."
He reached slowly into Mei's pocket and pulled it out as slow as he could.
When the blade was finally outside of the pocket, he slowly placed the knife on the table in front of them as slow as ever.
"There. And don't worry about the useless arm. Unlike me, yours will get better. Though I am now limited in the type of instruments I can play, I will just make due with the ones I can play. It is not the end of the world. Besides, I'm sure there is an Ultimate out there that will help with a robotic arm. It isn't that far fetched of an idea. I'm just handless for the time being."
He chuckled to try to lighten the mood.
"I know you did not want me dead. I believe you don't want anyone dead. Why else would you bring up the suggestion of revealing the Forbidden Actions? Certainly not for your own sake."
He looked at the television where the Monokumas performed their show.
"I'm still trying to figure out why Allah brought us here. Allah does not do anything without reason. He has a plan. I trust in this plan. He is trying to tell me something by putting me in the misfortunes I have found myself in ten times over. But, for what reason, I still do not know yet."
He looked back at Mei.
"What about you? What's your purpose in life so far? There has to be more to it than just following whatever orders come your way. I know there is."

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Mei watched as Oppenheimer placed the knife on the table. That would do for now. As long as it stayed in one place... She could bring it back to the Women's Quarters later. For now, as long as she could see it, it was okay. Glancing at her sword arm, she realized just how threatening she must look. I never thought of it like that before... Are people afraid of me? Afraid that I'll cut them just like I cut Oppenheimer? But... Lui... His goal was to protect. That was his job and so, his sword must be for the same purpose. If someone is to get injured by this sword, I want it to be for the sake of protecting another or else, I'll disappoint Lui.
"There. And don't worry about the useless arm. Unlike me, yours will get better."
"Are you so sure that we will somehow get rid of these Kill Commands? You're so certain of someone dying? I suppose that it is a lot easier to kill with these Kill Commands, but I'd like to... I'd like to trust. I'm not used to being around people, so this is a little difficult for me, but I don't think anyone here is bad. Some people have tried to manipulate me, I can see it in their eyes, but even they aren't bad. They just want to get out." Mei thought for a moment. If it weren't for the sword, she would never be able to hold this conversation. Even the silent, stoic Shirong could grant her the courage to speak. "Oppenheimer. If we get out, I will help you find a person to fix your hand. This, I swear. And... my Kill Command... I've tried my best to prevent it from killing me."
Mei rose her bandaged sword hand, "In case I fall asleep or forget I'm holding it." Then she rose her other arm, the one with the bracelet. "My Kill Command is to let go of this sword... Well, any sword. Or blade. That's why I needed you to take the knife for me. If I were to grab it, I wouldn't be able to let it go. Then I would have no hands left. I was unlucky, already holding Shirong's sword when I got the Kill Command and, well, I fear what would happen if someone were to put a blade into my mouth. I wouldn't be able to talk... or eat..."
"What about you? What's your purpose in life so far? There has to be more to it than just following whatever orders come your way. I know there is."
"You trust in this Allah with all of your life. I respect that about you, Oppenheimer. My goal in this life... To serve is my purpose, but my goal is to be unbeatable so that I may bring honor to the Meiyo name. And to Takeo. I train with the hit requests. I must be the merciless sword of others to further my own skills. That is why I cannot deny a request. For the Meiyo family... For Takeo... And now for Shirong Lui too." Mei's expression was unreadable and that, in it of itself, was a look of danger. Her passion for her craft was nearly unrivaled, and she knew it.

"It's not the fact that I firmly believe someone will die. I just believe that, based on Monokuma's last motive, he's not going to allow any deaths that doesn't involve us killing each other. He killed Ken for the sake of putting up this illusion that he could. It's a lie. I'm not going to kill anyone anytime soon. You can trust me on that."
Oppenheimer gave a quick reassuring smile to Mei before continuing.
"Your Kill Command will not be violated. I swear on my life. And thank you for your assistance in returning my hand back on my arm. It'll be a fun adventure travelling the world for an amputation expert that can give me back my hand. I'm sure we can also do some sight-seeing too. I've always wanted to see the Great Pyramids..."
He laughed at his thoughts of being so close to Egypt, yet not even taking a plane trip there to begin with. Being in a life-or-death situation has made it impossible to not reflect on trivial things and prioritize things wonderfully.
"That bandage is absolutely intuitive. I wouldn't have been able to figure out how to keep holding one. You won't set it off by carelessness, if it's any consolation. I'm glad I was able to help you in any way. I also wouldn't worry about the blade going into your mouth. You already have a sword in your hand. Nobody in their right mind will try to mess with a woman skilled in the blade she is currently holding. I also don't think that anyone would even try that to begin with. It's just cruel and ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things. I fully believe you can rest easy on that. By the way, why were you holding Shirong's sword in the first place, if I may ask?"
Oppenheimer wasn't judgmental in his questioning, as it was more like a simple curiosity that happened upon him.
"...I see. I know what it's like to want to honor your family name. I go by Oppenheimer for the sole purpose of just that. Though I believe there is more to life than just to serve. Allah has set all of us on a path for the betterment of this world. Maybe yours is to rid the world of evil with your blade. That would surely bring honor to the Meiyo name and to Takeo, whoever they may be. Maybe you can create your own requests. Stop the bad guys in this world. Like those who would sully the name of Allah by using his names to commit atrocities all around the world. I do not wish death upon them, but I do wish that they be stopped."

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Mei thought on what Oppenheimer had said for a bit. Ken Araki. His Kill Command had been very unfair. There was nothing they could do about it and yet... When one really thought about it, wasn't his murderer really Yoko's Sister? After all, it was she who technically caused Ken's bracelet to go off. But what about Jeanne? They had said she was already dead... But was she really? She looked into Oppenheimer's eyes, scanning him for any type of deceit or manipulation, but there was none.
"It'll be a fun adventure travelling the world for an amputation expert that can give me back my hand. I'm sure we can also do some sight-seeing too. I've always wanted to see the Great Pyramids..."
Mei thought for a bit. Sightseeing? Is that... exploring? "I am not familiar with these 'Great Pyramids'. But it sounds good enough to me. I admit, I don't do much exploring. I much prefer to stay in my home."
She looked at Oppenheimer, then glanced at her sword arm. So, the Instrumental Artist was also not afraid of her? At least not the type of fear that would send him running. That was good.
"Nobody in their right mind will try to mess with a woman skilled in the blade she is currently holding. I also don't think that anyone would even try that to begin with. It's just cruel and ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things."
Mei winced, "They messed with Lui and he, too, was skilled at the blade. Sasaki messed with him and used cheap tactics to know him unconscious and kill him. That was not a fair way for Lui to die. It just wasn't."
"By the way, why were you holding Shirong's sword in the first place, if I may ask?"
"Lui's Sword?" Mei rose the blade, "I believe that a sword master's legacy and spirit are carried through their blade of choice. That is why I could allow those 'Monokuma' things to just throw him away. Now, as a fellow sword master, it is my duty to protect Lui, just as I have been protecting Takeo."
"Though I believe there is more to life than just to serve.
More than to just serve? "Serving has been my life. My purpose. Someday, I will be able to live up to my parents glory. After all, their deaths were noble and full of meaning. The Meiyo Clan is dying... Just me and him left. That is why I cannot afford to be weak! Not now. If I die here, It's all up to him... I'm not afraid of dying... I'm afraid of what responsibilities will befall him. I'm not even sure he's still alive!"

"Coolio!"
They then decided to play checkers.
