Everyone wants a magical solution for their problem, yet everyone refuses to believe in magic. Taro was going to get his anger out of her. He needed to forget that what he was best at was forbidden for him, or else he would die. He needed to survive to annoy the shit out of everyone here, they needed a lesson. They all thought they can survive, but Taro's goal was to just make it harder. He didn't know how could they so easily could be friends, partners and even started to have a normal life here. He wanted to destroy this. He wanted them to feel the constant death fear they should be fearing. Not himself though, he already knew he was going to die at some point. It was the life cycle. But he was living in the moment. His distraction was to prank Joo-Eun. He left a letter in her room to meet him at the newly opened Rec Room. Taro wasn't able to use his magic tricks to do a prank on her, however he could still do pranks. Taro set up a bucket filled with ice cold water, and placed it in top of the door. Then he built a booby trap in front of the door which when she opened the door, flammable purple glitter slime would be squirted onto her. This was going to be a golden moment.
''Tsk tsk tsk... She should've seen the letter by now. I should hide somewhere.''
While Taro was hiding beneath the pool table, he accidentally activated his fireworks and shot himself to the wall, and set his own cape on fire. He started to fire a stream of swear words and find a water source. He didn't want to pull the one he prepared for his prank, because it was going to be glorious.
''SHIT SHIT SHIT HORSEMOTHERSHIT!!!! GOD IS BURNING ME FOR MY SINS FUCKING HELL GAYAAAAAAAHHHH!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!''
Taro lost his composure and started to roll on the ground in panic. He was yelling and hoping Joo-Eun to come and get pranked by him. He was also hoping that he wouldn't die. For reals.

Joo-Eun Cruz - SHSL Poet
"Fiction is the truth inside the lie." - Stephen King
|
Joo-Eun was lost in her own thoughts as she observes the 7th floor’s hallways, noting down all the major and minor differences between all the floors. She scratched her head and sighed, the Poet has been rationing her coffee ever since the 9th floor was closed which is why she has been a little grumpy.
She looked at the Rec room and shook her head. Joo-Eun knew she wasn’t very observant but she wasn’t stupid, ever since she read Taro’s letter to meet her in that room she has been avoiding it like the plague. Who knew what wicked plan did he have in store for Joo-Eun Cruz.
“He’s pretty dumb, isn’t he, Kiriyoko the 3rd?” The Poet asked her named notebook. She slowly caressed the tiny teddy bear on top of her ballpoint pen when she was once again reminded her NG code. Her NG code wasn’t very hard to avoid but it still made her worry, her own life is literally on her hands now… Well, technically, it’s on my wrist. She corrected herself.
She was about to walk inside another new room when she heard a pained grunt inside the Rec room. She turned around and raised her eyebrows, biting her thumb, waiting for another sign of anything wrong going on inside the Rec room.
And that’s when she heard the pained screams of the damned.
"SHIT SHIT SHIT HORSEMOTHERSHIT!!!! GOD IS BURNING ME FOR MY SINS FUCKING HELL GAYAAAAAAAHHHH!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!"
Joo-Eun quickly rushed inside the Rec room but before she was even able to process what was happening, a cold bucket of water fell over her, soaking her from top to bottom.
“*Santa Maria, qué es esto que me ha sucedido?” She muttered as she wipes the water from her glasses.
The Poet saw a large fire in the room, her brain slowly processed what was happening in front of her. The fire was… moving? The fire was screaming! No, wait, the fire was Taro!
Joo-Eun didn’t have any time to complain about her current situation as the Ultimate Magician was burning in front of her, she quickly took the now empty bucket of water and ran out of the room. She rushed to the 8th floor and barged into the kitchen, the Poet turned the faucet on and started tapping her feet as she watches the water quickly fill the bucket.
Once she noticed that the fairly large bucket was filled, the Poet ran down the stairs, almost tripping once or twice due to the weight of the water bucket. Joo-Eun rushed back into the Rec room.
She pushed the door open and took her first step inside the room, stepping on some sort of hard object.
Joo-Eun barely had any time to react when something purple and shiny went flying onto her face, “**¡Ah, mierda, hostia puta!” She screamed in shock, and before she knew it she is covered in some sort of purple twinkling sludge.
Not for the first time in her time in The Factory did Joo-Eun Cruz, the SHSL Poet, wish that she was in any other place but here.
Then she slowly put the pieced together and soon realized what had happened to her and that this was all a part of Taro’s elaborate, and dare she say it, erudite plan to prank her. “***Pollas en vinagre.” Joo-Eun lightly cussed as she wiped the purple slime out of her glasses.
Then, she willed herself to push her emotions to the side as she rushes to the quickly burning Taro and she poured the cold water on him. The fire had calmed down now but it was far from stopping, Joo-Eun quickly thought of all the things to do when your clothes are catching fire. It was fairly easy, stop, drop, and roll, she recalled.
The Poet concluded that the Magician wasn’t calm enough to do it by himself as he continues to scream profanities at the air, so Joo-Eun decided to do it by herself. She pushed Taro to the ground and quickly rolled him left and right to stop the fire from spreading.
It took her a while but soon the Magician stopped burning and they were both left inside the Rec room, panicking, sweating, and out of breath.
Joo-Eun took a moment to catch her breath from the spontaneous exercise that she just had, she also recollected her thoughts during that moment. She then looked at Taro and slapped him, “You demented dolt! I told you time and time and again to think twice before doing the things that you want to do and yet you still decide to go on and, and,” Joo-Eun shook her hands as if imitating a clown or an insane person, “and just do whatever the hell it is that you want to do! You should know that your actions will have consequences and someday what you do will also bite you back in the ass. All these random pranks that you keep on pulling, these profanities and ill-mannered replies that you always say... I just, please if you can't change for others then do it for yourself. It is really immature and of course, not something a gentleman would do. You should really consider thinking about the things that you plan on doing without being spontaneous all the time! I myself do not find it irritating at the moment but I am pretty sure that other people already do. Santa Maria, the Lord already knows this place is frustrating enough without you interferring. And what if I wasn't around when you were burning? And then what? You would die, Mr. Taro, and I'm not sure if you know this but death is irreversible. I can only imagine what Da Ji would do if you died. She would freak out!"
She huffed in anger and pinched her nose, The Poet counted to ten in Spanish, calming herself, and then, Joo-Eun chuckled, "Dios mio, that was very idiotic. Idiotic but actually quite humorous. It is certainly one of the most intriguing and enthralling events that I have experienced here, and that is saying something." She shook her head and smiled at Taro.
“How are you feeling now? I certainly do hope that you are proud of what you’ve done, because it is impressive.” She complimented Taro and muttered, “although it will be pretty hard to remove this purple stain on my sweater.” The Poet looked at her stained clothing, sighed, and looked at Taro, “Are you alright? Do you need any medical attention?” Joo-Eun asked him.

Everyone wants a magical solution for their problem, yet everyone refuses to believe in magic. Well, that didn't go as planned. As Taro was rolling in the floor- actually, getting rolled in the floor by Joo-Eun, he thought that he wasn't actually that good at pranking without his magic tricks. He also realized he didn't do this plan very carefully. Maybe should have. Well, that didn't matter because the fireworks in Taro's pocket also started to burn and flied off to the corridor, exploding in colorful sparks of light. Thank god, Taro was not harmed at all.
''Ay caramba, that was close, am I right-''
Suddenly, Taro felt the wrath of a thousand words that he didn't listened at all. From the words he heard, it was a long talk about how actions have consequences, how he's not a gentleman and how he needed to change, blah blah immature-
''And what if I wasn't around when you were burning? And then what? You would die, Mr. Taro, and I'm not sure if you know this but death is irreversible. I can only imagine what Da Ji would do if you died. She would freak out!"
This was the only part he actually listened. He flinched when he heard Joo saying this. She was right.
''HEY! DO NOT BRING DA JI IN THIS! I-I know that... My actions have consequences and Da Ji might get hurt by them but... I'm doing these after I make sure that she will be alright. She's kinda the only person I really like. No offense though, I like your company too. I... I just... I'm a person who has fun from discord. There's no stopping it, it's who I am.''
Taro suddenly became all aggressive and protective, however he was ashamed of his actions and was embarassed. After Joo-Eun relaxing and complimented him, Taro became a lot more comfortable too.
''Heh, thanks. I'm a performer, I wouldn't be SHSL if I were not something, or weren't interesting at all. And you're fun person to mess with. And that's saying something. I mean, we are in a killing game and I could just kill anyone for giggles. Count that fact too. Oh, I'm fiiine... Pshhhh. And for the slime, just wipe it off with some soda.''
Taro winked ad Joo-Eun, just before he made a thumbs up.
