[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. It was after a nice nap to restore Katsu's energy, as he had stayed up all the night before the murder to explore, though that was really an excuse for sitting around and being able to be alone. But now he was rested up and he hadn't really looked around the new area much. While Katsu was worried about what he would do later with Tomoe and thinking over everything he would do because of this damned bracelet on his wrist. For now, he wasn't that affected by it, though he could feel his body weakening slightly. For now, he would be fine. But in a short time, he knew he couldn't hang on like this, but he would make the best out of this time as he could.
Katsu found the rec room on the new floor and when he looked into the closet of games and saw something that he could use to play with Tomoe before his plans for tonight. The last time they would have fun together before he broke her heart later. Katsu took out the game and stared at it for a few moments. Their last game. Their last day of happiness. He would make the most of it.
Making his way with the game to the quarters where they slept, Katsu's hand started to shake slightly causing the game's box to shake slightly as well. Was it really a good idea for Katsu to play Twister with Tomoe? His balance was not good as it was on normal footing, and then they would end up getting all twisted up. But he wanted to prove to himself as well he could do this. Maybe he would end up winning and showing the universe that no matter what they did to him, he could fight and keep fighting until he won.
Then again, he was likely to lose. Either way, it would be fun. And that's what Katsu wanted. So he knocked on the women's quarters door hoping that Tomoe would answer, though any girl really could. Of course, he could invite others to their game, but Katsu wanted this to be special, not that others would make it less special, but he was worried the target would grow.

The today I chose is ordinary,
and it's about to crumble. Akimi was never a morning person, even if some flowers were most beautiful at that time of day. For her, the best days are those that allow her to sleep till the afternoon. Or evening. Sometimes she wakes up at night too. For someone that finds routineness soothing, her sleep schedule was really out of whack.
Either ways, last night was one of those where sleep didn't exactly favor her. And because of that, Akimi woke up feeling extremely groggy. So much so that what time she woke up was something that eluded her as much as paranormal accounts did good-quality recordings. And trust her - she's scoured the net before to find not even a single one.
Needless to say, she didn't exactly look the best she ever did today... whatever-ing it was. Sitting up, she covered a yawn before lazily putting on her hearing aid. Not finding the strength to make her bed (or tie up her hair) like she did on some previous days, she grabbed her notebook and pen before heading out to... wherever the day would bring her to.
But it looks like she was going to be kept here in the Women's Quarters for just a little longer. The hacker was knocking at her door. Or well, their door.
'He's probably here to see Tomoe, isn't he? The two of them always looked to be close.'
Meeting eyes with the boy, Akimi quickly directed her gaze elsewhere. The two of them had somewhat of a spat back in the trial, and god knows what Katsu really thinks of her. He's always been one of those who assumed the role of a leader around here, ever since they discovered the first two bodies back in that one office. Someone like him wouldn't exactly think highly of a runaway-coward like her, would they?
She wanted to walk away, but... a part of her felt that an apology was in order. It was the least she could do, and it wasn't like she had to go through that much effort to do so. All she had to do was flip to the page that had the words "I'm sorry" written out, show it to him and be on her merry way.
Or well, that was the plan at least. She didn't know if he would hold her back to have a chat or whatever. She really hoped that he wouldn't start lecturing her about her behavior back during the trial.
But even though she wanted to say sorry, the bed-haired girl couldn't give a genuine apology. After flipping to that aforementioned page, she held the notebook up open in front of her, even though her eyes were looking the other way.
---
Picture of her hair let down, though imagine it's a little messier.

Today was totally a stay in bed day, after everything that happened. There were so many bad memories that haunted the mind of the girl now that the trial had brought back, things that she had thought that she had successfully managed to hide behind happy thoughts and positive thinking and all of this bright and sappy stuff that the people who were still around to hear her prattle on about such nonsense, but truth be told Tomoe had taken things pretty hard after the trial. Seeing what she had seen in the helmets she and Katsu and Sybil had looked at had been hard enough when she saw Sybil die (although she guessed that was more like an illusion? A magic trick set up by the grumpy magician boy?) but what happened to the tall boy who had murdered the other glasses boy who murdered the other boy, and it was a whole situation.
So like any reasonable person Tomoe had thought this was a totally justified day to be lazy and refuse to come out of the safety area that was her blanket. When you couldn’t trust anybody else in the room, the last and best line of defense is curling up under a blanket and waiting for all the bad things to go away. And yes, this was her entire day plan. Some people wandered off to explore new floors and areas that were now open to her, and Tomoe would do that as well later, she made a mental note, but for now it was time to hibernate.
Or she would have been if someone hadn’t been knocking at the door of the woman’s quarters. Not moving as if she was still totally snoozing the day away under the blankets, Tomoe listened for the footsteps as someone wandered over to the door to see who was knocking, before pushing herself up to a sitting position, although she was sure to keep the blanket wrapped around her tightly. If they were gonna have visitors in here, there was no reason to let them see her all down and depressed, was there? Surely, they were feeling the same and needed some cheer in their day.
“Who’s at the door Aki, Tomoe’s eyes are all fuzzy and she can’t see.”
Quickly rubbing her eyes as if she had just been awakened by the sound of the knocking and not at all lthat she was just laying in bed all afternoon like a depressed log, Tomoe plodded her way over to the door to peer over the shoulder of the shorter girl, her mood seemingly brightening as she saw who was at the door. At least he wasn’t wasting his day away in bed like a worthless lump of a girl.
“Ah, Kachan, hullo.” She started to give a quick blanketed wave in greeting but thankfully caught herself, the heavy metal on her wrist serving as a reminder that this was not the right course of action for her to take, and the young girl quickly transitions into brushing strands of hair away from her face before addressing the hacker again.
“What’re you up too? If you’re looking for your stash of spare gummies, we ate them all the other day, remember?”

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Katsu just sorta stared at Akimi when she answered the door, the twister game in his hand, his brain working out how to respond. Unexpected situations that weren't life or death like in the trial were hard for him to respond to, as he went through various simulations in his mind which usually ended up not actually happening. He was rarely right about any situation. It made things hard to respond to as he never expected to understand how others reacted, though he was getting better at predicting Tomoe, though he was still very wrong a lot of the time.
As Katsu mulled over how to respond, staring at the girl for several moments without speaking, blinking and not responding in any real way, Tomoe suddenly showed up and his heart jumped up into his throat blocking the spewing of words that wanted to come out, which he constantly did around her. After all, normally he was a lazy talker, and tried not to talk more than necessary but there was a lot of things he found necessary to say around Tomoe, probably because he thought no one else would say those things because he knew at times she responded with disbelief because she hadn't heard it ever before. And those things were necessary because they were true and she needed to know how important she was to him all the time, but the whole 'I love you' part was still inside of him, because he wanted her to experience life without the whole being attached to someone like him in such a way.
"Wha-" Katsu looked around as if looking for someone else, but he didn't know what he was looking for right now, mostly he was looking for a good thing to say… which was weird because words weren't in the sky. He should stop looking around for not real words around him and actually respond. "Oh. Uh, I'm sorry. Just, uh, gimme a sec." Katsu ordered his thoughts and pondered over the words he had heard. "Oh right! No, I was coming to play a game. Akimi you're welcome to join. Uh, if you aren't too tired and want to just quit before we're done of course." He didn't mean any harm to Akimi, he didn't even realize how it might seem rude. It just seemed logical. It would be terrible if they started playing and Akimi just quit.

The today I chose is ordinary,
and it's about to crumble. He... He ignored her. Was this his way of shrugging off her apology? Or was Katsu simply telling her indirectly that it wasn't a big deal to begin with?
Either ways, Akimi's initial reaction consisted of forlorn eyes and a hugging of the notebook against her chest.
Suddenly, he asked her to join him and Tomoe on this playdate of theirs. 'But don't the two of them want to be alone? Without intrusion?' Turning to face Tomoe, she tried to gauge how the girl was feeling. But knowing her, Akimi soon realized she probably wouldn't mind one bit.
Looking from the white-haired girl to the dark-haired boy, she resigned her unsettled self and gave them the benefit of the doubt. So what if she wanted to quit halfway? It's not like she owes it to them to keep playing... but in a way she guesses that it is kinda mean to just leave in the middle.
"Alright, I'll join" is what she wrote on her notebook, showing it to Katsu and Tomoe before waiting for them to lay out whatever game it was they were gonna play.
