At the end of eighth grade, Seiteki Hakuchi received a letter which invited him to “Hope’s Peak Academy”. His mother said that it was a good opportunity for him, and he might finally graduate high school, which he was excited for. His mother’s absence bothered him, as she normally accompanied him everywhere. But the letter strictly said for Seiteki to come alone, saying something about “teaching independence.”
Seiteki Hakuchi stepped out of the limousine, flinching at the cool breeze as it brushed against his bare skin. “Bye, mom!” he yelled after the limo, waving at it until it turned the corner. He looked around for other students, wondering where everyone was.
He started walking towards the overarching building, barely a thought crossing his mind as he got closer and closer to the gates. He didn’t really know why he was here to begin with. The large gates towered over even the extremely tall man and the wind ruffled his blue hair so slightly that instead of making him look disheveled, it only gave him a sort of serene beauty, like a hero who just stepped out of a comic book. At the first step he took through that gate, however, his mind began to swim. His knees began to buckle. Seiteki doubted why he was invited to this school before everything went black.
Slowly, Seiteki opened his eyes. It was dark. Really dark.. He stood up and dusted off his bare chest before looking around. It was such a drab and ugly place, nothing like anything he’d seen before, and there were several people, some apparently asleep, others off doing their own thing. His stomach grumbled a bit and he whispered out loud, “Where’s the food in this place?” Sniffing the air, he smelled something coming from a different room and went to find the source.

I'd rather trust and regret than doubt and regret There it is... The prestigious school that is Hope's Peak Academy. A ticket to success. "I have my doubts about that.. but it doesn't hurt to be accepted here." He threw himself a grin. "Really Jun? A monologue now? What has become of you?" He shook his head and took his steps towards the schools entrance. A variety of students underwent the same fate.... or were they?
A few steps into the entrance way Jun's vision began to slowly twist and turn.. "Is this... What I think it is.." He looked around, but no one seemed to be around. And only a few seconds later the Private Investigator fell to the ground.
...."You don't deserve to see the court!"...... "W....G...I!"... "There's only one solution for people like you" *click* ".....!" *Bang*
Thick heavy air hang around as the Private Investigator opened his eyes. Being rudely awakend by screeching and muttering. He put his hands over his face.. He was drenched in sweat "Those voices.. what was that?" He quickly wiped his face with his hands and proceeded to sit up. He was one of the last to wake, and luckily he was on the more outer and back of the group. Meaning he could sneak away to stand at one of the edges of the room as the others proceeded with their happening.
Jun proceeded to take a look around, noticing the factory like enviroment, the big gate looked inpenetrable. He also noticed that they were rather high up, maybe in some form of tower. "But who starts at the top?" Brushing the thought aside he carefully peered out of the window, only to look in disgust as he saw the green liquid.
"How long was I out for, surely it must have been a few hours. I walked into the lobby of Hope's Peak and after that I collapsed, and then there was that dream..."

And of course, the all-natural, 100% expected question: 'Why would we kill?' For that, the Bros. have a few answers ready for the participants of the Factory Life of Mutual Killing. The short one began. "Why you would want to commit murder? Easy! For each murder and resulting trial, you get to explore more of this neat factory, and see how everything is produced and especially what is produced in the first place!"The other brother pretended to cough so that he could speak, too. "If that's not enough to get you to murder one another, we also have some super spicy motives for you as well! Without further ado, here's the first one!"With those words, special VR helmets suddenly attached themselves to everyone on the bridge. That included the private investigator-looking person and the guy who was still asleep after all that time. Was he dead yet and the Bros. didn't know about it? Oh well, whatever. The Bros. then noticed that one of the girls still hasn't gotten up yet, and with some medicinal equipment they summoned, they checked the girl's pulse. ... The result was... flatline. "Oh well. Guess that one didn't want to participate, huh? Good riddance, then!" A claw descended from the ceiling and picked up the girl in sportswear and unceremoniously flung her out the window before it disappeared again. If one were to look out the window, they would see the body dissolving in the green liquid, leaving no trace behind. Jeanne Suko, the SHSL Marathon Runner, is dead.Where were they again? Ah right, the motive. The screen showed the loved ones of each person wearing the helmet. Friends, Family, Pets, whatever. Suddenly, however, static filled the screen and when the picture returned, instead of the loved ones being dead or missing, the screen showed the wearer of the helmet dead in the factory. Each of them were in a different room, some were looking familiar, some weren't. On each movie, familiar figures were standing around, as if they were the killer of the wearer. It would be hard to determine just who exactly each figure was. As the movie ends, the screen turned pink before the helmets separated themselves forcefully from the heads of the participants."Oh, what joy! Our first motive is: If you don't want to happen what you saw just now, kill someone! And if you don't kill someone in one week, we'll release toxic fumes into this factory. Either one of you dies, or all of you die! The choice is easy."With one last "Toodles!" from both brothers, the flatscreen disappeared. The game has now begun.

fear is not an option luck is not a factor,
He was just formulating his list of expendables and those he would help get out of here, also known as non-expendables when the one still sleeping was pronounced dead. Tch. Served her right. He could tell just by looking at these people if they were worth saving. The girl with the swords had enough paranoia to survive, and thus was important to keep under control, especially so she didn't lose it and kill someone. The boy in black seemed to be constantly thinking, his eyes eying the bears on the screen suspiciously but not making any move. He also moved to talk to the girl with the swords to prevent her from acting rashly. He seemed he would be a good brain for the group, other than his own of course. He would work as a conscience that they could trust, as they wouldn't trust him when it came to emotional things, as he was the one who had to make the hard choices. The white haired guy with red clothing seemed to be very negative, but that could mean that he had logic. For now, Ryuu placed him as a non-expendable, but that could always be changed.
The Jack of All Trades was too confident and arrogant for his tastes, so expendable for her. The nice guy? He didn't seem to realize what was going on. Expendable. The girl with the bunny? Well… Ryuu had a soft spot for kids. He was really fighting with his emotions on that one. However much he tried to fight it, he kept coming up with 'logical' reasons for her to be a non-expendable. Red haired guy was far too unstable. Expendable. White haired girl? Meh, he wasn't sure yet as with the other white haired guy. Non-expendable. For now. Green girl was cute, but he already felt like he had too many non-expendables so she was smacked right into expendable territory… until she asked why they should kill and she was promoted to non-expendable. Gas mask girl seemed fairly nice, though Ryuu would reserve judgement on her until he could get a better idea who the person behind the mask really had been.
Honestly, with grey/light blue haired girl, Ryuu felt the same sort of thing as he did when judging Tomoe, however, in the end he placed her in the expendable bin. But… it wouldn't be hard to convince Ryuu that she was actually non-expendable and she was probably the one he wanted to save the most out of the expendables. Because emotions were hard to battle but he forced it in this case. Brown haired sword guy who was silent? He looked strong. Non-expendable… for now. Finally, the guy who woke up last. Totally expendable. Sorry dude, but you're too lazy to be an expendable, and honestly Ryuu didn't like the vibes he was getting from the guy.
Now all he had to do was assign their designations. However, as he was numbering everyone the VR headsets dropped down onto Ryuu's face and what he saw was… unsettling, even for a guy who kept his cool. He was dead. Someone had killed him. Someone had killed _him_ and while he didn't blame people for not liking him, did someone really think it was wise to destroy their only chance of getting out of here? It wasn't like he would let the non-expendables know he didn't care if they died, he would just attempt to manipulate them to kill.
When the simulation ended Ryuu closed his eyes for a moment, internally freaking out. If he died here… if he died here, everything he did was for nothing. Everything he could do was gone. All the good he could accomplish would never happen. And he didn't want that. He wanted to continue living so he could save as many lives as he possibly could, despite his obvious detachment by numbering his colleagues in order to make them seem less human so he could do his job and not falter at his job because they were all human with families and something to live for. Because everyone had something even if they didn't believe that they had something to live for; Ryuu had plenty to live for. After all, he had to live on for his sister who he had sent to her death to let the others in her group escape. The lying he did to her, promising he was leading her to safety when he was actually leading her to death. He last words were his name. She hated him, he was sure, but he had to move on. Why should he care about these people? He never met them. And yet, he felt like he had to save them. Because that was just how Ryuu was… he just hated losing people, especially unnecessarily. That's why he was a strategist, to save as many lives and to get better to lose the least amount of lives possible.
"My name is Ryuu Sasaki. I am the Ultimate Strategist. I see no reason to stay behind here," Ryuu said looking to the dead sleeping girl, then back to the group, "If you plan to save us all from death due to suffocation and insane pain due to the toxic fumes, please kill sooner rather than later. However, if you do, know that we will catch you and you will be brought to justice. If you're worried about the fumes, don't be. I will devise a strategy to save us." And with that, he simply walked away to explore the parts of the factory that they could.
hope is not a strategy

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- Mei let out a small breath as the black haired boy whispered in her ear. "Don't hurt them. Who knows what they'll do? And we need them to tell us how to get out anyways," His breath smelled strange, unlike anything Mei had smelled before. It wasn't bad, but the overwhelming smell made her slightly nauseous. What was it? She wondered, but she didn't vocalize her thoughts. This guy seemed pretty agitated though, so Mei let go of the wakizashi hilt. "I wouldn't want them to throw you out of a window. Let's hear them out first, okay?" It was a fair enough argument and Mei let herself relax. These bears seemed like they meant business and that meant that they wouldn't back down easily.
Mei listened as other people gave their inputs. The white haired boy rattled off a bunch of words that Mei didn't understand. Lazybones? Anorexic? Fatso? She made a mental note to try to ask him about it later. He looked pretty surly, which turned off Mei from speaking to him though. Maybe she'd just ask someone else.
The swordswoman turned her attention to the bears as they addressed her. "Paying attention isn't your forte, eh? We had a musical number planned out for that and you dozed off. Did you never see bears before? We're bears! We are the Monokuma brothers! You know, 'Mono', for monochrome and 'Kuma' being the Japanese word for bear!" She didn't doze off, no. She just had no idea what they meant. What was a Monokuma? And she'd never exactly seen a bear before. She didn't respond afterwards, instead adding Monokuma to the list of words she didn't know.
Then, the next words came. "KILL ANOTHER PARTICIPANT!" Kill. Kill. Kill. Mei had heard that word before. Ending a life. Taking another person's life. It was tragic, but Mei wasn't above killing. If someone wanted her to kill, it was only natural for her to use her talent and do so. One of her firm beliefs was that if someone needed her, she would be there. Whether they were a 'Monokuma' or a person didn't matter. It did make it a bit awkward if two people were to ask her to kill each other, though. The way they were speaking though, it was almost like a game as opposed to a Hit Request. So did that mean that Mei had to kill of her own accord? Because if so, she wouldn't do it. There was no desire in her entire body to kill someone. There had been enough death in her life.
"Look at this nifty little thing. This is called a electroID, and everyone gets one. Don't try destroying it, that won't work. We learned from Master Monokuma's mistakes as well. If you lose it, you'll get punished. Just keep an eye out for the regulations of the Factory Chiefs. You know, us." An electroID? What did that mean? By the way the 'Monokuma' had said it, it was like they made it up. Was it just a fancy paper? A block? Mei didn't know, but she was willing to ask later.
Then the brown haired average looking girl spoke up. "Oh, just kill someone else?" This girl was speaking on Mei's level. She seemed completely at ease with the idea of murder, though Mei had to wonder, was this girl capable of murdering without a hit request? If so, that would make her very different from Mei. Either way, she added 'Talking to Average Girl About Murder' to her to-do list. "Hi, I'm Yoko Kamiya, the Super High School Level Jack of All Trades. I'm probably better than you guys at most things that aren't your talent." So her name was Yoko...? What an average name. At least Mei thought it was. She hadn't heard many names before and she also didn't know what a 'Jack of All Trades' was either. She clearly looked like a girl, and Mei knew that 'Jack' was a boy's name. Oh well, all the more reason to talk to her later.
Then the guy who had left earlier came back into the room, a quizzical look on his face. He introduced himself as Oppenheimer, an Instrumental Artist. When he asked for soft articles, Mei prepared to take off her hoodie, but instead, Oppenheimer began to talk to the girl with long white hair. Huh, Mei thought, I guess he doesn't need my hoodie after all. He seemed very eccentric, and Mei would prefer to stay away from the Oppenheimer guy. That was okay, right? To just avoid people?
The silver haired girl seemed to completely ignore Oppenheimer though, which made Mei feel a twinge of compassion for him. Just a twinge though. Really, it wasn't enough to make her change anything she was doing or change her feelings towards the Instrumental Artist. The girl bounced right up to the screen and touched both 'Monokuma' on the nose with her fake rabbit thing. That's right, she needed to figure out what that was too. So many things that Mei didn't know.
Then the orange haired guy began to scream out words that made no sense to Mei. More words to figure out later, she supposed as she mentally added 'Fuck', 'Shitframe', 'Tits Mcgee', 'Murderbears' and 'Stupidshitass' to her list. Then the short haired glasses girl made her way over to the orange haired guy, "If you want to continue living I suggest you stop acting idiotically and start thinking more about your actions." So was what the orange haired guy saying wrong? Mei was just confused now.
She shifted her attention back to the not!rabbit girl who seemed to be taking a lot of joy in touching the moving wall with the 'Monokuma' on it. It wasn't long before the same glasses girl came and shoved her out of the way. Huh. She seemed violent. Mei wondered if she'd ever held a sword before and if she'd be willing to spar. But the glasses girl started rattling off word after word after word that Mei didn't know and she eventually just started tuning her out. It was too much new information for her too handle. Perhaps in private when Mei offered her a sword could she ask the glasses girl what she had said before.
The bears began to talk again. Something about 'Despair'. Another word to add to the list. The green haired girl began to ask questions too, but at this point, Mei was done with questions. The next thing to catch her attention was the masked girl. She seemed... scared. She was also intriguing. Very intriguing. Why did she wear a mask? What was it for? Those were questions Mei would like to ask her too.
Mei made her way away from the strange smelling black haired boy and stood next to the masked girl. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Mei cleared her throat and tried again, "H-Hello." She said a bit awkwardly. "I was wondering what the thing on your face was... I've never seen anything like it before." In talking to the masked girl, Mei missed other things, such as the ponytail girl writing her question down, or the blue haired boy and the black haired boy waking up.
But her attention was quickly drawn back to the bears as some strange, foreign object was strapped to her head. "Oh well. Guess that one didn't want to participate, huh? Good riddance, then!" They were talking about the sleeping girl. Well, Mei had hoped she was sleeping. Apparently, that hope was too great as some hand like object came from the ceiling and picked up the girl, tossing her out the window. That girl was dead. That was all there was to it. If she wasn't dead before, she was now. She fell out of that window. Out of that high, high window into the green stuff. Then the bears started talking about some motive thing.
Images filled the Kenjutsu Master's mind. There was her grandfather there, sitting peacefully on the tatami matted floor of the Meiyo household. Then a boy. A boy Mei hadn't seen for a very long time. Keizou! Oh... it's Keizou! He's okay! Her brother looked much older as he walked an open plain than what Mei had remembered. Last she saw, they were both very young. Then Keizou had left after... after that incident. Mei felt sadness grip her heart as the screen shifted to show something more horrifying.
She saw herself, laying on the floor, liquid running out of her body. Familiar liquid. Blood. A lone figure stood, silhouetted. It was hard to make out who it was, but they seemed to have a feminine body. Mei didn't know who it was. There were plenty of people with feminine figures. Just before the video cut out, Mei thought she could see a glint over where the eyes would've been. Like a... a reflection. But why? And how? The screen was replaced by the color of dripping blood. A sickening pink.
"Oh, what joy! Our first motive is: If you don't want to happen what you saw just now, kill someone! And if you don't kill someone in one week, we'll release toxic fumes into this factory. Either one of you dies, or all of you die! The choice is easy."
Toxic fumes? What did that mean? Toxic was bad right? The bears had said 'Either one of dies or all of you die.' Well, Mei preferred going out to a sword wound, but for all she knew, toxic fumes could mean the same thing. Her mind wandered back to the vision she had seen. Whoever that girl was, she had probably been the one to kill Mei. That was for sure. She desperately wanted to find that person. To test her strength against them. If she ended up like the vision, congratulations to the girl for being good enough to best her. If not, she knew it was fake and that the vision was simulated. If that was true... Then how? How did they put fake images in her head? She didn't understand it one bit. She'd have to ask the 'Monokuma' later. Oh and while she was at it, confirm if this was a game or not. After all, that would change everything. She still didn't have the will to kill, though admittedly, seeing the image of herself dead made her a bit excited at the thought of someone here worthy of challenging her. Right now, the will would have to come from someone else. Mei had no intention of murder.
How even did the bears manage to put those images in her head? It made no sense. Mei hadn't wanted to think about it, but she had. She saw her grandfather and she saw Keizou. A much older version of Keizou, albeit, but still him. How? How? At least Keizou wasn't dead. Well, she hoped. If the vision proved to be fake, she still wouldn't know whether her brother was alive or not. Though the Meiyo family was strong. Her parents... It took a lot to kill them. And her brother... Well that had been her fault in the end... Keizou wouldn't die so easily. Mei knew it.
The brown haired glasses guy began to speak up just then, "My name is Ryuu Sasaki. I am the Ultimate Strategist." His next words made almost as much sense as Yoko's had. "If you plan to save us all from death due to suffocation and insane pain due to the toxic fumes, please kill sooner rather than later. However, if you do, know that we will catch you and you will be brought to justice." She didn't know what this justice thing was, but it seemed Ryuu wanted a killing while at the same time not wanting it. Should that be taken as a Hit Request, Mei wondered. If so, she should ask him who he wanted dead later.
Shaking the pain of seeing Keizou again away, Mei turned back to the masked girl, hoping that she'd answer.

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Here he was, still regretting waking up already. He really wanted that boop on the nose. However, he had to maintain seriousness, as he had to find out what was going on, and see what he could do in this situation. These bears meant business and he couldn't just sit back and do nothing. He needed to study everything, he needed to figure out the code that would break through everything. He needed to figure out the way out, to let them through the sealed doors. If there was a software to it, he would eventually figure it out, if he had a chance to do so.
Luckily the sword girl listened to him and let go of her wakiwhatever. He couldn't just let someone potentially get themselves killed because they were impatient. In hacking, things didn't always come immediately, and it took time to do things, and sometimes even depended on the time of day, as well as close connections to the network one needed, which meant sneaking into government facilities. At least that wasn't usually his role. Arien was the master of that, somehow, managing to get them connected to various networks around the world that they shouldn't have been able to access over the internet alone. Yet somehow, Arien managed it. He wished he learned Arien's secrets, but the one time that Unknown had asked him, Arien simply said that he had the power to connect to these places specifically. Either he was an insider, or some sort of ninja with a lot of money to get around to go to the far-flung places. Once they hacked a secret base in Antarctica somehow. Unknown learned not to ask questions after that. After all, they had to keep their true identities a secret, something Unknown had fucked up. That's how the school found Unknown. And that's how Unknown was found to be Katsu Kuno, and that's how he got his letter to Hope's Peak Academy.
Well that wasn't smart of Mr. White Hair Mc Rudepants. Also, Katsu took slight offense to everyone here being called idiots. It was obvious everyone wasn't stupid, and honestly Katsu didn't think anyone was stupid. Everyone had a different level of intelligence in his mind. While he was logical and stringent and thus could figure out computers and logic puzzles, Tomoe was much more people minded. She knew how to talk to people and how to make people like her. She knew what was rude, what was nice, and what was appropriate. Katsu was learning those things of course, but he didn't know them as well. Tomoe was also very intelligent in other ways, being a veterinarian. She knew how to treat animals and if worst came to worst, she wouldn't do too badly on a human, Katsu was sure. He'd trust her over anyone else here unless they were some sort of SHSL Doctor, and even then, he would prefer Tomoe because he trusted her more. Yet the conundrum remained: would he want Tomoe to treat him if in the end he was most likely going to die? It wasn't because he didn't trust her to heal him, but if he did die, he didn't want that on her conscience.
Anyways, the point was Mr. White Hair Mc Rudepants didn't know anything of which he spoke. Unless he knew something Katsu didn't. It was rude to call someone who was skinny or fat to have an eating disorder no matter who it was; Mr. White Hair Mc Rudepants seemed to just jump to his conclusion without taking into consideration the evidence in front of his face. That seemed like a flaw that Mr. White Hair Mc Rudepants really needed to work on. Katsu would happily help him with that too. Perhaps he could talk with him later, that is of course, if he wasn't too distracted in his room, as he almost always had when it came to hanging out with others.
A fun game? Katsu looked up interested when they were talking about the game they were about to play. Katsu loved playing games, especially with Tomoe. However, when they were talking about punishing people for breaking the rules by throwing them out the windows, Katsu screwed up his face in confusion. That didn't sound like a happy game. He wasn't sure he wanted to play this game. He didn't want to do this… though if she asked him, he probably would relent, but he couldn't see any way she would want to play this game either. They could play much more fun games like hide and go seek or watch a horror film like Spider-Man.
Whoa whoa whoa. Kill another participant? Could they kill the bears? That'd be great. However, such a theory was thwarted when the rules were revealed. Even his plan to hack into this monitor to turn the bears off was thwarted. He couldn't do anything to them lest he would get punished as well. Computers could act faster than humans and he knew for a fact he couldn't hack them faster than they could kill him. It wasn't worth the risk. He would have to try to get into the system some other way. Katsu wasn't too worried about losing his ID thing for if he did, he was sure that he could convince Tomoe to let him sleep with her. However, it wasn't like he was going to just lose his ID on purpose, it was just that he had a safety net he already knew about.
When the jack of all trades began to speak, Katsu shook his head very slightly so that only the most observant would notice. The fact that she was just pretending this wasn't a big deal was just wrong. It was a disgrace to everyone here. It was disrespect to everyone who was worried right now. It was disrespect to those bears, who were beings too and deserved respect themselves. They deserved to be treated with the seriousness everyone else deserved when they spoke. He didn't care if it was a coping mechanism to stay calm. There was other ways to do it without being disrespectful, just like he had been doing. He hated disrespect most of all. It wasn't at all like an underground wrestling ring. The actual purpose here was to kill or be killed, else you stay here with an indefinite release date. It was nothing so simple. He'd brought down an underground wrestling ring once, sent the police in and completely destroy it because he had hacked into their systems, figured out they communication way, where their lights were, who paid for the lights of the ring, things like that.
When the guy who made the sandwiches talked to Tomoe, Katsu immediately took off his jacket and handed it to the man in order for him to utilize it as a pillow of some sort. Tomoe was obviously distracted by the bears. She loved animals after all. Katsu screwed up his face once more in confusion when the guy asked for forgiveness. Had he not noticed the bears yet? It was true he was gone making them food while the bears made their initial appearance and through the first line of questioning. So, Katsu found it in himself to slowly raise his arm and point at the bears that Tomoe was booping right now so that Abraham was not completely left out of the loop. However, when he raised his hand, he noticed some shaking appear. But… but he just took his medication. Unless something happened and time had passed while they were sleeping, more time that he thought.
Slowly Katsu reached into his pocket and felt that the bottle was still there. Good. He didn't want anyone to know he had to take medication, nor for them to find out what was wrong with him, for then he would be pitied and viewed as a burden. That was the last thing Katsu wanted. He would take them later in private, though he used his other hand who shook on the way up to help lower his point and attempt to calm the shaking slightly, both hands falling completely limp at his side.
It angered Katsu when the bears started asking for Tomoe to boop them some more. That was highly greedy of them. Why couldn't he get some boops? He wasn't a very jealous guy, but he would love to get at least one boop. But it wasn't like he could ask her for one. It wouldn't mean as much. She had to do it all on her own. "Tomoe, Ishihareu probably would like it if you booped everyone. That way you can bring everyone the pleasure of the booping instead of just giving the cute bears all of the attention," Of course with that statement he practically revealed the fact that he knew Tomoe, whereas everyone else didn't seem to know anyone else here. Katsu truthfully could say from the moment he was eating those gummies and he last took his pills on that first day of class, he didn't know anyone else. However, his medication shorting out showed him at least some time had passed. It was possible he had forgotten something had happened, or he had been asleep for more hours than he thought he had been. Perhaps he did know these people. He was going to treat them as if they were friends, unless they pissed him off as the jack of all trades already had.
When the red-haired guy started his rant, Katsu turned and just sort of stared at him, wondering how such a response could be logical in anyone's mind. While it was much more normal than many other responses, Katsu had a hard time understanding Taro's actions and how he thought they were good actions to take, especially after the insulting of the bears became a rule that could wind up getting him killed. While Katsu could always explain to Taro why he was so quiet, he decided against it for the same reasons he had stayed calm and quiet so far. Freaking out wouldn't solve things. Plus, there would be other people who would freak out enough for him, while he figured things out. Anyways, Katsu was freaking out, he just hid it well. After all, even while the circumstances dictated such a response would be normal, he didn't want to show himself as being unstable. Finally, he was far too lazy to freak out. After all, his mind would still be working on the problem, and freaking out would just take up some brain power that is resting right now. He rather not worry about freaking out on the outside, after all, like he said before, others would do it for him.
Oh see. White haired girl that wasn't Tomoe had logic in her head. Perfect question to ask. He knew it wasn't in vain to just let himself relax and think instead of work on trying to 'inspire' everyone else through asking good questions. Katsu trusted that he could rely on the others to ask questions that would give him in the information he needed while he thought, and if they didn't, later he would've asked the questions, but it wasn't necessary now. He liked not-Tomoe. She seemed smart to him.
Despair. The bears said that was the reason for this. Jokes on them. He'd felt the despair ever since he was diagnosed. However, when he was around Tomoe he felt his hope double much like the grinch who stole Chistmas's heart. Even so, when he was away from Tomoe, he felt the despair creep in. He'd lived with it for a long time. It wasn't like he was going to just snap and kill someone because of it. Even if Tomoe died, which was a terrible turn of events if it did happen, he at least told himself he would move on. It would mean everything he ever did was worthless but it wasn't like he would kill someone else for it; if anything, he'd kill himself to get rid of the pain. Why would he want out of here if Tomoe wasn't going to come with him?
Huh. A mastermind eh? Someone could possibly be behind all of this, but Katsu knew enough that killing the mastermind wouldn't do anything. Programming would go on until it was told to stop. In fact killing the one behind it all, if they were even in the game, would make it worse, for they were the one who could stop this, most likely. It was like one of the voice activated locks where only a certain person's voice could unlock the safe or program or various other things. Or how one's eye could only unlock a door like on various shows he had watched while he was doing his hacking. Then again if it were the eye, the could just use the dead body, unless they programmed the bears to destroy their body when they died, and then they were screwed. What they needed to do was first figure out if they were in the game, and second, capture them and force them to end the program. Killing them would be stupid.
The girl with green hair was cute, but Katsu could almost already picture her dead body because she was too cute to live in this game. Humans were cruel beings, and of course, Katsu would work to try to protect Tomoe at the very least. Katsu told himself that if it didn't interfere with protecting Tomoe, he would at least attempt to help the green-haired girl survive.
Oh thank god. Two of the guys woke up and Katsu breathed and internal sigh of relief, though it didn't show on his face. There only remained one girl. While Mr. Blue Hair Shirtless Guy seemed to not even care about the bears, the brown-haired guy seemed to be fairly there, though of course, confusion was an obvious reaction. Even he, Katsu would be confused if he had woken up after everything that had just been said, missing all of it, and just seeing everyone around him, two bears resembling characters from a video game. However, Katsu was never one for pity and thus, he looked towards the girl and the guy who were still sleeping. They needed to awaken. He would rather not have someone die just because they slept in. Whatever they used to drug them and bring them here obviously affected those two more than others. It wasn't their fault they were still aslee---
What just dropped on his head? He heard the voices of the bear saying good riddance to someone. One of the sleepers was dead. That was just tragic. He couldn't even have had done anything to help her. That was the thing Katsu mourned the most about, he couldn’t even try to help save her. That was just sad to him. If he just failed in saving her that would be one thing, but this was a whole different matter.
Then he could see images in front of him, the VR goggles showing him images of his sister. Of the screen names of his old hacking group and their avatars. His older brother. They neglected to show him a picture of his parents, but that was probably because they knew that was a waste. After all, they hated him, why would he care what happened to them? Though honestly he did care, and was happy when they didn't show up as these images threatened those he called family and friends. Even Kittygiri, a stuffed toy of Tomoe's had shown up on his screen and then -
"I-I'm glad." That was his voice, but he wasn't talking. He saw himself on the ground, bleeding, trying to get up, only to slip on his own blood that was coming from every place imaginable, his eyes weak and his hand shaking as it reached towards the figured that was probably his killer. "In the end, I was of use to you, Tomoe." The figure came into view and it was his old friend with long white hair with bits of his blood on her, crying and looking at him in shock. "N-Now you can… get out of here. And if… if you're c-c-caught, then we'll have another chance to be together… in the a-a-afterlife. I-I love… I love you Tomoe." Katsu reached his actual arm out, the arm that wasn't virtual, trying to reach out towards the Tomoe on his screen.
"Ka-Katsu… It was… I'm so sorry. I-I…"
"I already kn-know. Just k-keep on going, o-okay?" Tomoe nodded and the Katsu on the screen released the rest of his life, collapsing onto the ground dead as his screen slowly turned dark.
The VR helmets ripped off and Katsu saw his arm held out in front of him shaking due to the lack of medication in his system. Katsu closed his eyes and collapsed to his knees his head hanging down. What had he just seen? Had that really happened? Were they here in the afterlife? Was this just their brains trying to hold onto the little bit of life left inside of him reliving the past traumatic experience? Was he actually alive right now? Tomoe. He opened his eyes and turned towards her. If that were to happen, he wanted to know if she were to get out. He wanted to see if she ended up winning the game because of that. If she did, then he would do it again, over and over again. He wanted to get her out of here. And if that meant he died, then he died. He would be willing to give his life for her if he knew she would get out, that she wouldn't die because of this. He wouldn't just let it happen if he didn't know for a fact what happened.
"Katsu Kuno. Hacker." He muttered his introduction before he took a deep breath and forced himself to stand up again though with some obvious difficulty as if he legs weren't responding to him correctly. His eyes were dark and he almost looked like he was a zombie, though his mind was whirling with thoughts, so many thoughts running through his head. "Katsu Kuno. Hacker." He said it louder this time so everyone could hear him.
Slowly he began to shuffle his feet towards the nearest door, wondering where they would sleep, where their rooms were. He needed a nap. And time alone. He didn't want to be around anyone right now. He just wanted to think over things alone. Lay in his bed, rest. He wished he had a computer to be at as well, but that was probably something they wouldn't give to him sadly. Being in front of a computer helped settle his mind when he was troubled.

Izuku's eyebrow rose as he heard the plan that those bears had proposed. The idea was simple... Kill someone to get out. With a simple "heh," Izuku stood up and looked at the rest of the group. He had finally seen everyone in the building... Each of them reacting constantly to whatever event had suddenly happened. They had either panicked as soon as the events had taken place or they had calmed down. Izuku closed his eyes with a nostalgic look on his face. When he had seen the VR, he saw his family members all around him...and he particularly saw his grandmother. His eyes widened as she had a gentle smile and a kind face. He took another sigh as he stopped. His grandmother was in the midst of something, something that Izuku had no idea about. Someone had tried...something he was sure. He shook his head and heard what they had said. Some thing had happened. He sighed and scowled. Oh, what joy! Our first motive is: If you don't want to happen what you saw just now, kill someone! And if you don't kill someone in one week, we'll release toxic fumes into this factory. Either one of you dies, or all of you die! The choice is easy."Izuku sighed as he heard that. It seemed like there was a big plan for the bears now. He wanted to "Alright then, so this whole thing is kill or be killed. Gotcha," Izuku sighed, "Alright guys, seems like they plan to kill us or kill each other. Basically kill or be killed. My name is Izuku Garcia, the Ultimate Helper. If you need me to assist you in anything, I'll be there." He smirked. "Just don't expect me to be friendly. But I'll help." Izuku said, "See ya."

The VR helmut fell down on to Yoko's head and her family appeared in front of her. Her unremarkable parents, not worthy of description let alone digging up faceclaims, and her Sister, Kaede.
Seeing a picture of her their brought the curiosity up from where it was processing in the back of her mind. Where was she? It was obvious from the introductions the others made that they were all students that were accepted in to Hope's Peak, so the lack of her sister's presence was strange. After all, in the eyes of the school they were both the same person, because they basically were. Closer than a mere sibling, the two of them were so close it was hard to say they were really a full person without the other.
What followed, seeing herself laying there dead on the floor, was... disheartening, but it would take more than a simulation to shake her. The helmet was pulled off of her head and the bears said they had a week to kill someone or they all died. Taking a deep breath she tried to keep herself calm. There was still a chance they could find a way out before anyone had to die, after all.
Once things were settled down, she spoke up, "Ok then. I... think I'm gonna go take a look around this place." Yoko waved a goodbye and began to walk off, hoping that there was some sign of her sister for her to find.
But we've already gotten there, haven't we?

Oppenheimer's legs began to quiver under the simulation he had just witnessed. He had just seen his own corpse. His own body, lying bare for all to see.
"GGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He fell to his knees and let out a huge scream.
"Please! I don't want to die! Why are you doing this? I am sorry if I did anything to offend you!"
Ahuva....
His girlfriend of five years....
Will he ever see her again?
Will he ever see her shinning smile, her enormous intelligence in action or that glisten in her eyes ever again?
Was she alright?
Oppenheimer looked at all the faces in the room and slowly, but surely, realized that all of them will not make it out of here.
Allah must be testing his benevolence and amity towards his fellow man.
Or maybe his fellow man does not follow Allah's path and has decided that Oppenheimer and his fellow men will parish.
"Ahuva..."
He said in a tone so defeated and saddened.
"I...I want to hold you in my arms once again..."
His face was numb and blank, in complete contrast from his previous grief-stricken anxiety look burnt into his face.
"Please...forgive me for not being there with you right now..."

"Tomoe, Ishihareu probably would like it if you booped everyone. That way you can bring everyone the pleasure of the booping instead of just giving the cute bears all of the attention,"At the mention of her name the white haired girl paused, her hand and the bunny inches away from the screen as she had been all set to deliver another boop despite the fact she had so rudely been pushed out of the way and she looked back at the boy in the red jacket her head cocked to the side like she was a bird as she thought about what he had said. No doubt what he was saying made sense and the little white haired girl shrugged and practically skipped over to the boy, bunny in her arms. “Ah, whatever you say Katchan.”And who better to start with then him? Next thing you know she’s standing on her tippy toes and pressing the nose of her rabbit apparently named Ishiharu to the nose of the boy in red, and she’s off looking around for who else seemed like they would like to be booed, occasionally pressing the nose of her stuffed animal to the nose of someone else as she had been told to do. And things would have been so nice if things had continued to be like that. Tomoe was so busy with her booping that she quite honestly didn’t hear a word anyone else said. Not her fellow factory residents. Not the cute bears. Nobody, and she didn’t notice a thing going on in the bridge that didn’t evolve her bouncing from person to person until a VR helmet was placed on her head and an image was shown. For Tomoe, it was simply a box full of puppies and oh god they were so cute. There were black ones and brown ones and spotted ones and fluffy ones and of god she just wanted to snuggle each and every one of them until they could be snuggled no m- Within a blink of an eye the picture changed and everything was awful. The cute puppies were gone replaced by a picture of Tomoe herself and oh god something awful had happened. How or why wasn’t important to her right now, all she could see that there was a person that looked just like Tomoe (did she have a twin out there somewhere? That’d be fun. You see those stories all the time about siblings separated at birth) and this one was…Oh god, it was awful. This poor NotQuiteTomoe, whoever they were seemed to have gone through something quite awful as there was a lot of pink staining the floor around them and there was so much… Blood. Blood meant violence. Violence was bad, badadadadpleasenomoreviolencenoviolencenoviolenceno- And she was back to reality. People were starting to leave she had noticed, glasses boy and the white-haired guy and that one girl who’s name Tomoe had by now long forgotten and she’d have to ask for it later when they all because good friends, and- “Ah, wait for Tomoe!” Seeing the boy who had introduced himself as Katsu start to head for an exit, Tomoe started after him with every intention to follow as long as she could before a thought occurred to her that she hadn’t introduced herself to the rest of her new friends that had stayed behind for the time being. That was surprisingly rude of her, bad Tomoe. Spinning (Literally. She did a little figure skaters twirl on one foot) to face the rest of the room, Tomoe did a little bow that draped hair over her face like she had been told because she was a good girl and please nobody be mad, and she smiled widely at the rest of the room. “Ah, Tomoe is Tomoe, Tomoe Sunada. Tomoe is a veterinarian by trade, but don’t be afraid to come find Tomoe if you need some help. Tomoe shall do her best so let’s all get along, okay?" And with a smile and a cheery energetic wave she was off, looking to follow the others out of the room, looking for one person in particular. “Katchan, waiiit uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppp. Tomoe’s legs are stubby you know.”[Tagged: Taro Arakawa

Everyone wants a magical solution for their problem, yet everyone refuses to believe in magic. Shit was crazy. After Taro left his first impression, he started thinking. And he thought, bullballs. He left a bad first impression, didn't he? Well it was true that Taro was unstable, hot-headed and a little bit crazy. However, he had to seem like a good person, or at least a trustable one to stir things up here. He already had a plan, he was going to play with these losers like he would play with toys. This place was a living dollhouse. Thankfully Taro was a good manipulator, and all he had to do was sit down and watch every single movement of everyone.
Taro's pet buınny Snow White sticked her head out of taro's scarf. She was obviously scared by everything going on, so Taro picked her and started to pet her, making her relaxed. He pulled off a small carrot from his pants, than fed it to her. She was way more happy right now. Taro smiled at it and put her back in his scarf. Then he continued to pay attention to what was going on. The semenhaired smartass kinda scolded him for being hot headed.
''Well, what can I say. You're right, ma'am semenhair, sorry.''
The answer for Taro's question was d e s p a i r. It was such a random answer, but Taro thought it kinda made sense. He thought that these bears were enjoying seeing people in despair. However that made Taro angry, because he was the one who supposed to play with everyone, not them. However, he could always turn things around.
Seaweed girl and mask girl gave the most natural response out of them all. The others were just so... Oppressed. They seemed like trying way too hard to look all cool and relaxed, so others can obey them. Well, at least Taro wasn't going to be. They didn't had to try so hard, and that was what made them losers. Cold-blooded whorefuckers. That was what they were. Taro was unimpressed and laughing at them internally.
The blue haired hot man, who Taro labeled as sexy, finally woke up. He went straight to kitchen, looking for food. It was weird, but he definitely seemed suspicious. Taro didn't trust him. He woke up way later, and didn't even showed a reaction to others. That was the way weirder, oppresed and different amongst them all. Then another guy woke up. He seemed like a british gentleman. Taro didn't paid attention to him that much. And other one was still sleeping.
However, things got spicy as a VR Helmet attached itself to Taro's head. Taro started to swear more words such as ''CARROTFUCK, SEXDOLLBULLASS, MOTHERSHITSUCKFUCK'' and etc... The VR suddenly changed into something... That devastated Taro. The dead image of his dear brother. Taro was completely speechless and left his swear word chain unfinished. Then it switched to Taro's dead body. These images were enough to drive him crazy. But he managed to oppress his emotions or else it would end up with him attacking the bears and getting himself killed. When the Bonercuma Hoes explained the first motive, Taro felt way more comfortable. Either way, he was going to die.
''Eh, not that bad of a motive. Still gonna die either way. And if I'm going to with you all die at least you need to know me. I'm Taro Arakawa. Your friendly SHSL Magician. Well, I gotta explore this shithole. See ya!''
Taro threw a ball at ground which exploded and released a purple smoke cloud with glitters, and fireworks started to appear from it and explode mid air. When the smoke dissipated, Taro was gone. Where the hell was he? Well, he was gone now.
