Izuku's arms were crossed as he reflected on the events that had led up to this very moment. He came to Hope's Peak Academy as a joke! Literally! He didn't intend on staying at Hope's Peak at all.And now he regretted it, plainly and simply regretted it. He had to talk to people, people who were complete idiots who got into a school because of the golden ticket that people call "talent." Oh well, they seemed to be scared enough. He could push his world view on them. Plus, someone was going to die or else everyone else will. Izuku kept the frown on his face.
'If only I didn't say yes to coming to Hope's Peak... I would have a much much better time.' He shook his head as he lay down Everyone here was laughable at best in Izuku's eyes, thinking to themselves that they can change the world. Well, guess what, the world is one messed up place...and yet Izuku felt the need to help out regardless. Help the people in need. He frowned regardless.
"Hmph, maybe I'll use this time to..." He looked at the room, "...I am half-tempted to clean this place up."[/font] He said to himself. He stayed in bed though.
"Later though."

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Katsu had completely stocked up on food, hiding cans upon cans upon cans upon tons of packages of gummies under his bed, overflowing to the sides next to his bed, though there was enough space to of course climb into his bed, though he had some of the food sitting on his bed in the areas he didn't sleep on, as he tended to curl into a ball and he was a fairly skinny young man. Either way, he didn't mind it, as long as he had the food he wanted. Plus he all the supplies he needed too. He ate stuff out of cans, and usually got finger foods, though he did have a stack of silverware to eat things with and would wash it all in the bathroom.
However, he had noticed he wasn't the only male in the room. Someone else was laying down there while Katsu chowed down on some gummies he'd snagged from the kitchen earlier so he wouldn't eat out of his stock when he found the will to walk to the kitchen. It was that one guy who was so mean to people. He said mean things, and as Katsu learned from Tomoe, being mean was a bad thing. Katsu believed that Izuku was just ignorant. No one else would come up and talk to him, and he wouldn't want Tomoe to have to talk to him, because he might be mean to her and he didn't want anyone to ever be mean to Tomoe. And so, while Katsu was a lazy ass, he found the will to walk over to Izuku who was laying in his bed.
"Why are you mean?" Katsu was very curious as to why Izuku acted like he did. He wanted to understand why Izuku was the way he was, and then he could work on 'fixing' Izuku's attitude, especially so he could prevent Izuku from making Tomoe cry, or really anyone else here. After all, being mean would make him a target and he rather not Izuku or anyone else die.

Izuku had noticed the new arrival, the person who had decided to make his presence known to him. He didn't know who he was or he wanted, but he did notice the fact that he had a rather strange addiction to gummies. He looked at him with a frown.
"You know those will make your teeth rot. But then again, who am I to say?" The SHSL Helper chuckled to himself as he looked directly at Katsu, "To some, I suppose I look like a jerk, but realistically speaking, I just see the world in a different angle than most people. I see it in a much more deranged and problematic angle. These talents that we have, the talents that we were granted. They're problematic. They forced us into these conditions correct?" He closed his eyes once again as he lay in his bed.
"Those with talent are forced to focused on their own talent. Forced to find some way to make the world a better place. Tch, like the world will ever get to that point. Over and over again, there's problems. Constant problems. Our world is full of them," He closed his eyes once again, ignoring the world at large, "We were supposed to go to Hope's Peak. Probably find new ways to change the world. Instead, we're right here one of us going to die eventually or at the very least all of us. We're a whole bunch of volatile hormonal teenagers who seek to find a way out. If you got too bored with my discussion, it's because I don't like you people." He paused before adding one more statement.
"Of course, I'll help. That's my talent, not that I wanted it anyways. Who wants a talent like a 'helper?'"

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. His teeth rotting was the least of Katsu's problems. And anyways, he always took good care of his teeth, brushing them twice in twenty-four hours, whether that meant in the morning or night depended on his messed up sleeping schedule. Not the point. While Izuku's points made some sort of sense, Katsu crossed his arms and shook his head. He was simply ignorant… except he was a helper, he knew how people worked, what they needed to be helped. Perhaps it was Katsu who was ignorant. No. He refused to believe that Izuku was correct. If so, there was no point to living, no point to growing to be a burden, no point in life. Life was here for a reason, and one, even if they had to make it up, always had a purpose.
"I am not forced to hack. I do it because I want to do it." Katsu knew about the inner turmoils within the governments, within people, the greed, having been raised by two rich and greedy parents himself, who didn’t care about anyone but themselves, not even their children. They disowned him for discovering their dirty secrets, and only showed him a little bit of care because otherwise they would lose face for it. "I want to make the world a better place, even if you think its pointless. No one ever told me I had to, nor have they pushed me towards it. In fact, I've always been pushed away from it." After all, he was arrested for hacking, and told to keep everything he knew and hadn't already released a secret, else he would find himself locked in a prison. Perhaps he was caught again, and this was his prison. But why was everyone else here as well?
"If it helps any, I've always wanted to be a helper. Maybe then I would… understand what to say and do… I've never… I don't… I don't want people to help me, I want to help others, especially Tomoe realize everything she wants, and to see her smile." Wow. That was a lot more talking than he normally did, but then again, he was usually not faced with people discussing what they believed of the world. Katsu would speak more when it was something he really felt strongly about, but he would shy away if he didn't care as much or if he believed someone else would voice what he wanted to say, as he knew others would do a lot better of a job saying what was on his mind. Tomoe was teaching him how to say things better, though he was still struggling because he didn't understand people in general.
"Is there any reason you don't like any of us?" Katsu didn't see any reason to dislike anyone other than Yoko as of right now, though Izuku might go on that list of people he didn't like if he continued on too much. However, he believed Izuku was simply misguided, and if he knew the things that Katsu did, he would be a lot more pleasant. He didn't think Izuku was a bad person, though he didn't believe that Yoko was a bad person either. "We may be… a whole bunch of volatile hormonal teenagers who seek to find a way out… but is there anything wrong with that? Even if you don't think the world will change, who cares if people try then? If you accept that, then why not enjoy yourself while you can?"

"I am not forced to hack. I do it because I want to do it."
Stop.
"I want to make the world a better place."
Stop.
"I've always wanted to be a helper."
Stop.
The whole time that idealistic, stupid hack of a man opened his mouth. Izuku winced. He kept wincing. An ideal like that, a want to be like him was...was something that...that... Izuku's own anguish, his own hatred of himsef and his goddamn talent was starting to show. He looked at the hacker with disdainful eyes.
"You always wanted to 'help?' Do you know, what it's like to be a helper? It means being forced to assist people constantly. Over and over again, I have to help them and what happens next? There's more people to help, more people to be forced to help," Izuku took in a deep breath as he turned to the bed sheet, "You helped that Muslim guy out when he was being choked to death, correct? He basically died. Why? You could have just let him die. Is it because you feel forced to help and feel the need or is it something more? In fact, here's my answer to your last question... I don't like any of you because that Bitch-of-all-trades killed that Muslim idiot. It just proves my point. One of the people here is going to kill another person. We're all capable of murder. Everyone here. For example, I can hack you into pieces with a knife or I can choke you with these bedsheets. Or someone else will. We're all capable of murder. It's over for you and me."

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Katsu still didn't understand. He was a smart guy, but when it came to understanding people he wasn't very good at it. He couldn't even tell that Izuku was annoyed with him. He thought Izuku was just enjoying the intellectual conversation they were currently having. Regardless, Katsu shook his head again, dropping his arms to his side after popping a gummy into his mouth, as his arms took up more energy than he wanted to be crossed across his chest. After all, Katsu didn't want to spend energy that he needn't spending. Speaking of which, Katsu sat on the bed nearest Izuku, though he stayed sitting up for at least right now. After all, he found an article that said when you talk to someone you should keep eye contact as much as you can.
"There is always more people to help. That's the best part. You can keep helping forever. How is that a bad thing?" Katsu didn't understand. He would help as many people as he possibly could especially if he could help people like Izuku could. The never-ending part was what Katsu liked about it. There were so many ways someone could help. Katsu just tried to help by revealing bad people doing bad things and then having it on a private server or whatever. If it was on the internet, if it was on any computer, he could find it and show everyone what nasty people they were and then the people could stop them. Katsu could also work to protect good people from being targets of cyber-attacks as well, but when he was faced with a physical person Katsu found himself lacking in both the necessary social skills and the physical prowess needed in some cases.
"Yoko may have attacked Abraham, but I revived him. Someone might die, and they probably will. But it doesn't do any help dwelling on the future when we can change the present. You could kill me right now and no one would know the wiser, so why don't you do it? Me dying now might change the future. It might let everyone escape. My point is…" Katsu paused for several moments as his eyes glazed over losing focus as he began to think rapidly. What was his point? How should he say this? What was the best way to phrase it? Would it help Izuku understand? Or would it just make things worse? "My point is… everyone will end up dead, but you can still make people smile while they're alive. Instead of… worrying about the destination, worry about the journey and how you can make it the best journey you possibly can even if you might reach your destination early."

Izuku growled at Katsu, keeping a glare present on his face. He crossed his arms and closed his eyes.
"You know how it's like to keep helping people for an eternity? It's like one is cursed, not granted by some god or something. Not to mention, the chances of us dying is large. All of us. In fact, event if you say that we should not worry about the destination, or at the very least 'enjoy' the journey..." Izuku paused as he closed his eyes, "You're wrong. Completely and utterly wrong. And you're right, I can kill you right now. But I don't feel like doing the work. However, I will say that it's best if you people focus on finding a way out of here. At least it would give me some form of amusement." Izuku lay back in his bed.
"Plus, the talent that was cursed upon me might help you in some stupid way. I don't know," Izuku paused before opening one eye.
"Why don't you try killing me in my sleep?" Izuku bluntly said.
If he died, it would free from his curse, plus it would be amusing to Izuku in the afterlife after all.

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Perhaps it was Katsu's ignorance guiding him, but everything Izuku said struck him in the heart and his heart lashed out. It was a strong heart and it wasn't hurt after the strikes, but he wanted more than ever to just teach Izuku, whether it was teaching him to be more ignorant, or enlightening him. What was the point of him living if there was nothing he could ever do? The world could go to shit, the world could end, but as long as he was living and breathing he could at least try to make things a little bit better for those around him. If he was dead, he could do nothing but watch or cease to exist, depending on what lie on the other side of the barrier. He didn't care if everyone was going to die, even if they would die in five seconds, those five seconds, if he could make the smile in that time, it was worth it.
"If it's pointless why would we work on a way out? Izuku, you lack hope," Katsu said with a sigh, "You could be right, but I could also be right. You think you know everything, but think about the people you love the most… think about how their smile lights you up. If you don't have someone like that… then you'll find them. Those people are special, and that's why you have to keep pushing on. Not for you, not for everyone in this world, but for those you love and care about. You don't stop because the path is hard, you push forward because you want a better life for another. It doesn't matter what I go through, I don't care the torture I face, as long as I can make those I care about smile and laugh and just be happy, I will gladly take any punishment put to me."
Katsu looked down at his lap, mulling over how to phrase his next words. He knew what he wanted to say, but he didn't know how to phrase it exactly. Words were not his strong suit, though if Izuku were a computer he'd easily be able to change the code so Izuku would understand things the way he did, basically changing Izuku's brain so the pathways connected the way they did in Katsu's head. However, he also didn't want to do that, because unlike computers, people had individuality and that made them far more interesting than computers in many aspects. Computers were simple, but people were more complex and harder to understand.
"I wouldn't… do that because you deserve to live. Because… I want to make you truly smile, and find happiness. I… I want… you to live. The darkness you face right now… that's only the beginning. You have to face the dark in order to see the light… I've faced the darkness before and there was one person who helped me when it happened. And I'll help you whether you want it or not… to find that light, to find that happiness somewhere inside you, somewhere in your life… I want you to be happy. I don't want you to die… sad and angry at the world. You're not a bad person… You're… you're a really good person beneath it all… I…" God he was running out of words. He'd started with half of what he wanted to say and he was starting to putter out, even though he thought he'd know what he wanted to continue with by the time he got this far. "No matter what, I will try my best to make you happy in this dark world."

Izuku closed his eyes as he looked up toward the sky. Katsu claimed that he lost hope. "You're right on one thing Katsu. I don't have hope. Hope is nothing more than a concept that forces people to look toward parts toward the future. You could try to pull me to gain hope, but I don't have any more," Izuku sat up and looked at Katsu with the most serious face that the man can muster. "More importantly, there is no more things that could possibly help me in this world. No more people as well. The whole world is broken. That's why people try to look for hope and for someone to help I suppose. It's made me broken. But go ahead, try to help me I suppose. It'll amuse me at the very least. First of all though, I need to sleep. Can't wait to see if I'll wake up to see the pearly gates or the pits of hell. But hey, it'll amuse me at least. 'Sides, we're already in Hell."The Helper turned back and started to close his eyes. He didn't like this guy in the first place. But, Izuku admittedly found him an interesting person. He just needs to converse with him more. Besides, might as well help him out to make him see his own viewpoint. Katsu Kuno ,

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. Hm. At least this time Izuku agreed with him. That seemed to be his problem and somehow despite Katsu's lack of understanding of people, he nailed it right. Hope was a powerful thing. But… he wasn't sure if he could keep it too much if certain events were to occur, though he would try his very best. After all, there was someone in his life who fed him hope just by smiling. Perhaps he was too easy. While he knew that yes, the world was a bad place full of gummy stealing monsters, he also saw the good, and that good was worth fighting for in his opinion. As a hacker, he even sought to bring his own family down due to their dirty money. He knew there were bad people, he was raised by them. But he also knew of Arien and Jupiter and the others in his group. They were good people too. They wanted to make the world a better place. And if there was just one extra smile because of him, a little less suffering, it was worth it. They had to live here in this world, after all, they might as well make the best out of it.
"Then let me be your hope. I have enough to share it with you. I will show you… I will show you how hope feels. I will keep going no matter… no matter what happens, and you'll see it. I'll show you how strong hope is, and how… how it can help make your life, no matter how miserable, happy." Katsu clenched his fists not because of any frustration but because he could feel himself losing strength in his hands. But he had to be careful… if he ran out, he would be screwed. He had to make them last. Even if it meant letting a little bit of damage slip by.
"I'll leave you to your sleep." Katsu bowed his head and walked over to his own, as he began to organize his massive can collection in alphabetical order. Words: 343 | Tag: Closed
