fear is not an option luck is not a factor,
All of his life he was always in the background. He was the voice, he was never the hero. He was always the voice that told people what to do. He never was a hero, he never got any credit for the things he did. For every good thing he did, he sent another to their death. He committed crimes and was told it was for the greater good. He killed people, even if physically he hadn't shot the gun that killed them. He was a deplorable human being. And he had to make it up. He couldn’t live like this anymore.
Leaving the kitchen, Ryuu made his way to the Mineral Refinement Center, his pace quickening. He had to atone for his sins. He had to make sure that Shirong's death was uncovered, and he had to make sure the killer came to justice. He was almost running in a panic wanting so bad to hurry up to the point he had separated from his group.
… That panic, that 1/10 possibility of him losing composure would bite him in the ass.
hope is not a strategy

So all of you are busy investigating one death, when suddenly a great smell enters your nose. It smells like some delicious cooked meat, and apparently it comes from the Mineral Refinement Center.
As you enter, the smell is at its most intense. It's mouth-watering, to say the least.
But as you get closer, you notice something to the sides, something that shouldn't belong.
...
It's a pair of legs sticking out of the incinerator door. And going by the clothes on this pair of legs, it's someone you all knew.
Ryuu Sasaki, the SHSL Strategist, is dead.
How did this happen? Wasn't he investigating Shirong's body not five minutes ago?
Well, looks like the 14 of you all need to buckle up.
The Monokuma Bros. high-fived each other. They knew their motive was good, but they didn't think it was double-murder worthy!

MEI MEIYO -KENJUTSU MASTER- With her investigation nearing complete, Mei Meiyo shook her head. She doubted there was enough time to conduct another full investigation of a place, (Or maybe there was. She didn't know.) but as she walked, a smell caught her attention. It smelled like... meat? No... something burnt. Definitely burnt. See, this was why she preferred her fish raw, to prevent burning. Now... where was the smell coming from. If there was something burnt, could there be a fire? Mei knew that natural instinct was to run away from a fire, but they were trapped anyway. So might as well try to put it out, right?
The 9th floor kitchen seemed like the likeliest place, but as Mei stood at the door, it was obviously clear that there was nothing out of the ordinary. She shrugged and frowned, before moving to the 8th floor. The smell was definitely stronger here and she passed by the kitchen on that floor, it also being largely the same as when Mei had last been there. The smell wasn't coming from either of the kitchens, which was definitely odd. That's where the fires were, right? So then where was the smell coming from?
She stopped. Focus, Mei, focus. Then her gaze settled on one door. The Mineral Refinement Center door. There was definitely fire there, but as far as Mei knew, there wasn't any meat. And she really doubted that someone would bring a steak in there... Mei was filled with a horrible feeling as she touched the door to the Mineral Refinement Center. She pushed it open and, almost immediately, she saw it.
Sticking out of the incinerator was a pair of legs. A pair of legs clothed in black. If Mei didn't know better, there would've been a handful of people it could've been. Izuku, Katsu, Taro, Ryuu, and even herself all wore black pants. However, Mei had seen what everyone had been wearing and that's how she knew.
It wasn't Izuku Garcia, the Helper.
It wasn't Katsu Kuno, the Hacker.
It wasn't Taro Arakawa, the Magician.
No, the person in the incinerator was none other than the Super High School Level Strategist, Ryuu Sasaki.
I was just here, was I not? So when did this happen? And how? Ryuu didn't seem like the type to just trip and fall into a furnace, so then why was it that he was there? Why was there yet another victim? There's fourteen of us left now... The scarily calm Kenjutsu Master drew out her wakizashi, just as she had when she discovered Shirong. After all, who knew where the culprit was?

[googlefont="VT323"] Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding. (Please note, my control over Tomoe and Sybil was approved by their players.) Katsu and his group were looking around for anything of importance. His first thought after they had checked two places on the ninth floor was in that really hot room where things were made and art supplies apparently were held. He didn't even think of the uncomfortable room at all and how his group would react. After all, they were following him and he was just going where he thought was best. They saw cool movies on the VR helmets, which no doubt would shake them up. After all, he saw an insane video and it was burned into his eyes. Ah well, either way Katsu made his way towards the MRC, where he stopped not long after entering, seeing the legs of Ryuu, Mei (fully, not just her legs), and Akimi (same thing as Mei). DING DONG BING BONG!
"Another body has been discovered! After a short investigation time we will begin our trial!" Somewhere those stupid bears were probably celebrating, Katsu thought to himself. He wanted to continue to look around but when he turned to see Sybil and Tomoe he second guessed himself. It was awfully hot in here, to the point he was sweating, and Sybil's clothing looked even hotter. He wasn't sure how long she would be able to stand it. Then he looked towards Tomoe who put a hand on her forehead as if checking to see if she had a fever. They couldn't stay here to investigate like they needed to do. He bit his lower lip before he looked over at Akimi, Ryuu's partner, though he didn't even think of where the other partner was, maybe he was dead too but for now he needed to get these girls out of here."Akimi. I trust you to… investigate here. I-I'm sorry for your loss. I would stay but…" He looked towards his group. "I have a responsibility to these girls and we might have another corpse if we stay here too long. Thank you…" Katsu bowed and hurried the two girls out and towards the women's quarters again.

The today I chose is ordinary,
and it's about to crumble. Her head perked up when she noticed Ryuu rush ahead of her, but she didn't think to call for him to stop. The guy was free to do whatever he wanted, after all.
And now he was dead.
Akimi wanted to go as long as she could without seeing a body. That's why she avoided the guardian's. But here she was, with her partner's corpse laid out right in front of her. It was a sight that had her body and mind frozen in place - unable to look away, yet desperately wishing to. Ryuu... was dead.
She didn't react much at all when Katsu called out and asked her to stay with the Strategist. The only sign Akimi gave him to show that she accepts that task was a slight nod of head, one that she didn't know if Katsu had even caught.
Her eyes were still locked on that charred corpse. Despite the condition that it was in, people's dead bodies looked... awfully peaceful, don't they? In a weird sort of way, to her it seemed tranquil. A split-second of panic before they fall into an endless slumber.
...If she ever got out of her alive, she'll dedicated an arrangement of flowers for him. For him and the Guardian, and for anyone else that she would see death welcome on its doorsteps.

God the sight is unbearable as the smell of meat cooking fills your nostrils. But you have to take a look around. Perhaps that pipe that's spewing out hot gas could yield some explanation to this tragedy. He was just here, and now he's dead. Perhaps you could see if what remains of his body, Ryuu's legs, tells you about what happened here. You know, perhaps you could wonder about the rules of the factory and compare them to what happened here.

The today I chose is ordinary,
and it's about to crumble. Akimi bent down to inspect her poor partner's legs, doing her best to bear through the ungodly smell that was filling this room. And the heat, too. If her body were any frailer, she doesn't think it would be physically possible for her to be here any longer.
After that, the Ikebana Artist walked over to where a pipe was spewing out hot gas, meanwhile pondering about the rules of this factory they were in.
